Hell's Crossing [Full Moon Boss]

The large beast's heads began to turn different ways as it gazed at the many different foes it had before it. Each head was obviously capable of its own degree of thought as they each displayed interest in different individuals. As the three heads were hit with many different attacks, it became clear that all the damaged used was effective except for Ice, which seemed to be resisted. Dark Break seemed to open up a vulnerability in its defenses as well. The beast certainly was not happy about the attacks being thrown at it. Meanwhile, the data for the scan came in.

Notes: Composed of three sentient heads, each capable of individual thought. Seems to be chained by a strange fleshy material that extends downward.

While the three heads all had a different meal on their mind, they chose to work together to start things off. The underbelly of the beast began to glow bright yellow, then red before it began to exhale fire across the battlefield. With their three heads combined, they are able to coat the battlefield in flames rather easily. This deals Moderate Fire Damage to everyone! However, the flames do not reach Lucretia, Ringo, Fredrick, or Takumi. Of those who were hit, Amane was struck with Fear!

In the midst of this chaos, several skeletal hands began to extend from the fissure, grabbing Lucretia, Mitsuki, and Frederick! Regardless of how heavy some of them may have been, the hands begin dragging them into the fissure! Those who were grabbed are still capable of using skills, but they will still be dragged in unless someone frees them! The hands are easy enough to break that anyone can free someone, however, it will take a round to do so.

Finally, the three heads all decide to aim at their own targets. Each of the three heads bite at Ringo, Luka, and Akira respectively They are all hit for Major Pierce Damage! Luka is downed!

[Kate Minola]

It was chaos. Just... properly chaos.

That's what Kate thought. At least there were plenty of people who showed up for the fight, although given the size of this thing she wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Her arrow appeared to hurt the damned thing, that was a small comfort. But damn was it pissed.

When it belched out a big wave of flames at them, Kate squeaked in surprise and ducked behind a low wall. Somehow, she actually managed to dodge all the flames, even though she felt the heat of them.

Holy shit! she thought. That was very close. I hope nobody was too-- aw, crap.

Just as she peeked out from behind the wall again, she saw a girl get hit by the damn thing's chompers and go down. Kate hissed an oath. She didn't think she was dead but she would be if they didn't get her out of there quickly. She'd seen that girl deliver a pretty hefty strike to the monster. It'd be a pain to lose such a hard hitter now.

Someone, likely that girl with the glasses she'd met before, the one with the Italian name - Lucretia maybe? - seemed to transmit statistics on the thing to them. Well, that helped, a bit, but it certainly didn't make Kate feel any more confident in the situation. They knew nothing of any weaknesses so far and she was pretty sure fire was out of the question. Her arrows had worked but maybe there was a need for something tougher.

She was summoning Antiope when she saw what else was going on: Skeletal hands had grabbed people and were dragging them towards the pit. They didn't seem too tough but they moved fast.

"Hey! Anybody with a wide-range attack that isn't fire, try to free those guys!" she blurted before ordering Antiope to attack the monster. The faster it died, the better.

Antiope rushed at the hell dog and swung her spear down, delivering a mighty slashing attack at the center head.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

The results of the scan came back quickly, though not quickly enough for her to tell the ice user not to use ice.  Not that she knew that person used ice, as she was quite certain she had never met her before.  She would have to scan some of these people once the battle was over.  Her voice, heavy accent and all, echoed through the users' minds.

"Do not use ice or darkness...though darkness will be effective for a little while now," her face paled a bit as the skill data started coming in.  "It is capable of hitting us very hard if we let it live too long.  If you see it charge up for a powerful attack we will have to kill it immediately.  I do not think we could survive the attack it will likely use afterwards."

Lucretia rubbed her forehead.  Just like the dinosaur, this enemy was extremely difficult to analyze.  That was all she was going to get for now, as lingering in its mind further could actually hurt her.  Sadly, while she was distracted, some large hands came out of the fissure and grabbed her.  There was no way she could move like this, and they were slowly pulling her into the fissure.  It looked like she wasn't the only one either.  Fortunately, they looked rather brittle.  She could probably break herself out, but given the other attacks going on right now, she had more important things to do.  There was an obvious strategy to use here, so she let out another announcement into everyone's minds.

"Some of us were caught by whatever other creatures are in the fissure, but I think we will be okay.  If anyone has an attack that can hit all of these hands as well as the Cerberus, please use it.  Everyone else should focus on damaging the Cerberus.  I will focus on healing for now.  If you are very injured, let me know and I will try to fix it.  I am just limited in the number of people I can help at once."

There was a little bit of an edge in Lucretia's voice, but that was to be expected in her opinion.  She barely knew any of these people and she was effectively trusting them with her life.  Being dragged down into that fissure did not look like it would be a pleasant experience, and even with her fire resistance, she wasn't sure if it was something she would survive.  However, failing to defeat this creature would also be likely to kill her.  Even if she escaped for now, it would likely still be there the next night, and the night after that, until there wasn't much of a city left at all.  Knowing that allowed her to calm down a little bit and do what was necessary.

She wasn't a strong attacker, but she could help everyone coordinate.  She knew what most of them could do at least, and she was capable of broadcasting messages to everyone in the area, and those people would be more likely to hear those messages than they would if they just shouted.  

"Also, if there is anything you would like to say to someone else, you can think in my direction and I will hear you.  I think this method of communication will be more effective in the chaos of battle if used effectively."

For now, she would heal the people most affected by the last attacks.

Mediarama on Luka, Ringo, Amane, Yuuki, and Akira

[Yuuki Honda]

Yuuki was blown backward by the great inferno that flashed throughout the battlefield. His outfit was, for the first time in ages, scorched to all of high hell. His school outfit was regrettably ruined, and he'd have to find himself a new one later. He threw back his tattered coat and tossed it behind him, pointing his weapon once more at his opponent(s). He didn't like this one bit, especially as one person had already dropped. He hoped she wasn't dead. Or... was that a he? Eh. The young man wiped his face with his right hand, and examined the situation they were in;

Three of them were trapped, one of them was down, and everyone else was... doing fine... as fine as a person who was taking on a three-headed dog from hell. It appeared as though there were more people who could do a whole lot more to this thing than he could ever do, so he turned his attention to the ones grabbed by the hands. He didn't have an area spell, so there's no way he could do this without wasting an attack that could be better used against the enemy.

Back to Cereberus. He flicked the blue floating card and summoned the Black Knight. The Persona straightened its hands and drove them into the middle dog's eyes... he hoped.

Action: Twin Shot at the middle dog (pierce.)

[Tristan Carter]

Tristan smiled. His assumption that darkness wouldn't work on the guardian of Hades seemed to be right on the mark, if Lucretia was telling the truth. Luckily, he had expected this and had put that resistance out of order. Sure, the fire had hurt. That didn't mean he hadn't taken worse. Sure, people were being drawn towards the hole to hell. He had no doubt that there was somebody who was able to free them. After all, he couldn't. He had opened up a way to deal serious damage to the beast, and he was sure that his window wouldn't last long. The only thing Tristan wasn't sure of was how the blue-haired girl seemed to have fallen. If the boy had to guess, "Blue" was likely the person who could deal the most damage. It sucked that she was the first to fall.

"Hey!" Tristan shouted at the others. "Either get her up or out of here!" He pointed at the blue-haired girl before continuing. "We also need someone to free the others. Odds are, a trip to hell won't be pleasant. I'd get them, but I have a small window of time to do some real good."

Tristan summoned Odysseus again and watched as spires of darkness pierced through the dog's center head. He wished he could do more good for the group as a whole, but killing the giant monster probably took precedence.

[Ringo Shiro]

The Persona user's various attacks started to do damage on the beast. With this many allies, what could go wrong? Well...sadly Ringo would get an answer to that one. The three heads managed to exhale flames all over the battle field. It was a miracle that Ringo managed not to get hit by them but the various others weren't so lucky.

Got to kill this thing faster then. Hold on guys. His eyes began to  glow...only to see just in time just how much closer one of the dog heads is to him. "Ah hell!" Ringo dashed back as fast as he could. Like hell he was going to get his head chomped off by this thing....so he guessed his entire left arm wasn't such a bad substitute by comparison.

Ringo managed to back away with a completely useless, messed up, and bleeding left arm. Yeah, it was painful, no two ways about it. He could still fight with his Persona but that doesn't stop the beast from targeting his body. Even worse, it seems Luka got the worst of it though. He noticed his arm being healed and looked over at Lucretia.

"Thank you." Ringo ran on over to Lucretia and took out his knife. "Let's get this off off you." He stabbed into the hands in hopes they'd come off.

Action: Attempt to free Lucretia.

[Amane Mana]

Amane's eyes widened in horror as she watched the beast barely affected by her shard of ice. Yes, it was a small contribution in comparison to the other attacks but she would hope that it would inflict at least a slight wound. Even worse? It seemed like she might've gotten the attention of maybe one of the heads. It was then her eyes wandered from their glowing eyes to its underbelly. By the time Amane pieced together what was already happened it was already too late.

Flames engulfed the battle field around Cerberus, even consuming Amane even though she thought she was safe to the side. Suffice to say it wasn't exactly pleasant to hear a girl scream as she is on flame. Amane dropped her shinai which is likely  mostly burned away at this point as she collapsed on the ground and tried to get the flames off of her. 

Even after the flames finally dissipated the girl was shuddering on the ground all by her lonesome. She wanted to run but her body wouldn't let her. All she could see is that death is going to be upon her soon.IwanttogetoutIwanttogetoutIwanttogetout... that was the only train of thought in her one track mind.

Action: Freaking out.

[Akira Nakajima]

Akira could tell that the attacks launched by the gigantic helldog were powerful. Despite that, though, he was fairly comfortable, overall. The flames didn't even bother him. Like walking on sunshine, he felt great. The bite. . . well, that was unpleasant in terms of sensations, but he resisted it. Even if the teeth rent his vest slightly. A quick scan of the scene revealed that Luka was taken down by that, though. She had always seemed a bit sturdier than that, though. Maybe the combination was just too much? No. If that were the case, she wouldn't have been the only one going down. Must've been a weakness somewhere. Well then. Honestly, some of the people probably needed healing, but he didn't know if anybody else actually had access to revival skills. That made him important, if only for the time being.

”All right. Get up. You've got a dog to go cut.” Akira half-ordered, half-urged the girl as his horse emitted some sort of spray over Luka's prone form. The spray sparkled and faded. ”I guess it can't be helped. If you fall over dead, I'll cover you! Just try not to.” Honestly, healing the ones that were still standing was what he was most skilled in. Still, if someone went down, they went down.

Hopefully Luka'd be the only one to do so.

[Frederick Cooper]

”Oh, hey, partner.” Fred noted when he saw Takumi. He blinked when the flames leaped at him, though. Fortunately, they fell short, singing the bottoms of his sandals. It wasn't until the hands grabbed at his ankles that Riki made another sound. That was a “bwuh?!” when he fell on his ass. The subsequent tugging also caused the large man to feel the pavement cleaving into his back. He was strong, sure, but his skin wasn't metal. That shit hurt. It also made him scream like a bitch as he flopped about. The only one allowed to drag things over his skin was his girlfriend, damn it! And that was usually feathers!

”Zouchouten, kick its ass, damn it!” Wriggling and squirming as he tried to kick the hands away, he let Mechazou fly in and perform another ax kick on the dog's middle head. Tonight sucked. He should've brought a shirt. Or pants.

Action: Viper Smash on the doge

[Takumi Fujioka]

Tch. We can never have a good start can we. Takumi spoke to himself as he watched the situation unfold before his eyes. His shield seemed to protect someone, which was good. Other than that, the flames had not reached everyone. That one girl had done something to the boss. Did she weaken it? Whatever it had been, it was something to look into later. As in, not right this second. Takumi didn't take any direct damage, and Riki seemed to be out of harms way as well. Go figure.

Some girl who had charged straight in and landed a powerful blow seemed to get bit pretty badly. From the looks of it, her body was tossed off to the side and didn't seem to move afterwards. Takumi's heart skipped a beat at the sight of it. It was only that bad because he could recall her face from the meeting. Luckily, he saw that boy come in and help her. Were there specialized heals for serious injury? That was impressive. He swallowed as he felt a bit of relief over that situation. He had felt a little guilty, as he could have prevented a possible death like that. No. He felt like he needed to get stronger.

Taking a deep breath, Takumi relaxed. He could only protect two people at once. He had to remember that. The likely attacks this enemy had were fire and darkness. He could resist darkness. And as long as they weren't too bad, someone could heal him. There were better healers here than him. He thought to himself. Who was weak against darkness here? He recalled the list he had spent a great deal of time memorizing, then looked at the faces. He honestly didn't know anyone's name. He was terrible with names. Well, Riki didn't count. He couldn't forget that ridiculous proposal he made out of nowhere. Speaking of which. . . holy hell did he look like such a bitch right now. He averted his sight from him but spoke. One of you guys that can hit multiple targets should probably take care of those. He didn't really care to give orders. He just. . . didn't want to look like he was oblivious to that fact. That, and he certainly didn't need to crack a smile. He had maintained his sour frown thus far. It would be a crime to break it now.

He decided to protect the same group again, since he didn't know any other possible attacks. It would be a unwise to protect someone from an attack that had a small chance of getting them.

Action: Barrier on Ariane and Fred

[Luka Kurokawa]

The last thing Luka remembered was her charging up at the enemy. That had always seemed to work. And, hey. She even landed a powerful blow on it. Had that been her strongest attack yet? She felt a rush of adrenaline overcome her. There was adrenaline. . . but then something happened. There was pain, she felt herself being tossed like a doll, and then there was darkness. The pain was awful, up until the point which the darkness began to take over. Everything began to numb at that point. She felt cold. And slowly, the loud noises around her began to fade away. This wouldn't last too long though.

Her senses popped back one by one. First was her scent. She could smell smoldering ashes, brimstone, and fire. Next came taste. She could taste something strange; almost sticky. She swallowed it, assuming it to be blood. Then, her hearing came. She heard Akira's voice. It was addressing her, something about a dog, and dying. Next came her feeling and her sight all at once. Feeling dizzy, she slowly pulled herself up. For whatever reason, the first thing she saw was Akira's horse persona. Slowly, she began to piece the situation back together. For whatever reason, her blade was still in her hand. Maybe a true master of the blade would never let go of their sword even in the most daunting of circumstances?

Regardless, she realized what had happened. That beast had gotten to her. Her pain had since subsided. She had been healed twice over now, judging by what she was feeling. Her own natural healing was probably kicking in as well. She focused once more and tried to maintain a steady stance. She nearly fell back on the ground twice before doing so. Thanks. I'll try not to get caught this time. She would indeed be going right back into the face of this beast. Maybe she could hope to avoid jumping though. Standing on the ground allowed for more control of movement. She just had to avoid those jaws at all costs.

Without another word, the blue-haired girl ran in with her blood-coated, red steel katana. She was out for blood. Again, she sliced at the creature with a powerful but well-placed swing. Afterwards, she would try to retreat to a safe distance. As she finished her attack, she coughed. She wiped the substance from her mouth, to see that there was indeed blood. Seems these clothes would be ruined beyond worth. Oh well.

[Ariane Ivers]

And yep.  Fire.  How did she freaking know.  Instinctively Anne made the attempt to get out of the way, but could do little more than back peddle.  The flames came to quickly and were too harsh for her to effectively move in time, and as she braced herself for the harsh flames... she noticed the pain never came.  Opening her eyes she glanced around, noticing the fire seemed to redirect to the one latecomer to the meeting.  All she could think was he learned fire was her downfall and used his persona to keep her from dying.  Which was very much appreciated.  "Hey, thanks friend.  I try to keep away from fire, but it always seems to find it's way back to me."

Trying to stay focused on the fight, she turned back and scowled at the pup.  At the very least her fists hit home, but while the dog was obviously the main problem a few of their teammates started to get dragged into the terrifying pit below.  She hesitated, reaching out to the Hind for a moment.  Screwing up her face in annoyance, she stopped.  Well, Anne did have an attack that could have hit them all, but the move changed.  It was stronger, sure, but it didn't do her much good now.  Well, all she could do now was hope for goodness sake someone else still had a multiple-target move.

For now it seemed like everyone was focusing their attacks on the head in the middle, so it would have seemed silly to split focus.  Sprinting in close, Anne somehow managed to get close and high enough to land a few focused punches on the center head before falling back, trying to jump as far away as she could once her attacks landed.  While she felt the familiar protection from her teammate, she didn't want to make him take more damage than necessary if she could avoid it.

[Yumina Makino]

Dang, these giant monsters don't play around. This thing tanked all of the hits, before letting out several attacks real quick. Only one personally effected Yumina, but damn did that fire burn. If this was his best they'd be fine, but that thought seemed too optimistic to be true.

Three people were trapped by creepy bone hands that stuck out of the ground. It'd be great if they got out soon so no one could even have the chance to discover what the inside of that chasm looked like. So far everyone shifted the responsibility onto someone else and continued fighting the larger threat.

As important as it was to get rid of this guy quickly, the situation seriously started to make Yumina upset. Efficiency's nice and all, but they can't just leave people to hopefully be save by someone else. Inaction would still make her responsible for anything that happened to those trapped people. That's not okay. Being told what to do just made her want to not listen even more. Forget about ignoring them, she'd try to rescue at least one person.

How much extra damage could a kitchen knife do to a hell demon anyway?

That one guy had the right idea, helping out scanner lady. Maybe someday she'd figure out what his name is. For tonight, focus on staying alive. With the foreign girl taken care of, that left two choices for who Yumina could help. Big Bro sounded like he was in a lot of pain. . . but she really did not want anything to do with his ass. Besides, if he didn't secretly enjoy it dude could've saved himself by now.

Only one option left. Time to go help the blonde girl. Helpful Guy attacked the grabby hands, so these probably worked the same. Yumina ran towards she really needed to learn more names the girl with the gun. "Here we go" was all she said, before trying to save you-know-who from danger.

[Mitsuki]

Fire all around! Lucretia wasn't kidding when she said that this guy was stronger then anything they faced before. The fire that hit her was intense, and she wasn't sure how long she was going to hold out to attacks like that. Just when she was still busy recovering from the flames skeleton hands grabbed her down and tried to pull her in. This wasn't good, she didn't want to go in there. If not for her training she would have panicked by now but she had to stay calm. She could hear Lucretia talking to her again. Saying that she would be able to hear our thoughts if we thought in her direction. It was worth a try, so she tried to reach the girl.

"Hello? Mitsuki here. If you need assistance with healing let me now." She said. She had healing magic too, it wasn't that good, but if the choice was lesser healing or death the choice was quickly made. Now she had to focus on the fight again, and not being dragged into that hellhole. Luckily a girl she recognized earlier helped her to get free. Lucretia was free as well, but she this young man still wasn't free. She had to help him, no doubt! She quickly dashed in his direction and once close enough she shot all the hands with skillful shots. Aiming lower at the hands so not to accidentally hit the boy. now everybody was freed, and the fight could continue without people being drawn inside whatever that was.

A baleful breath of fire! Jacob shielded his face. As his persona shielded the rest of him. The flames seemed to have an inexplicably terifying aspect to them. Something that quite physically manifested itself as one of the users had a sudden fit of hysteria. Jacob had no means to clear her mind as of right now, so he moved his attention elsewhere.

Elsewhere this time, seemed to be some of the users being forcefully pulled towards the oversized canine. Some others had already moved to assist, as of right now. It seemed there were enough people handling that part. So he scanned around some more. It seemed there were more people present that could benefit from his bequathed power of free movement.

He picked out a known face, that being luka. And went through the familiar motions of forcibly stretching out her physical limits.
