Hell's Crossing [Full Moon Boss]

The concrete around the fissure continued to shake as if an earthquake had been passing through. The beat whose eyes were still a pale white opened its jaws even wider and lowered its body. Its attack that it was charging for was nearing. A moment passed, and the air had become extremely heavy; almost as if gravity was pushing everything down. This feeling would last a few seconds more before gravity seemed to slowly disappear as everything began to feel lighter, and nearly rise up off the ground!

A large mass of energy was forming above the beast! But as all the attacks came flooding down on the three-headed dog despite the poor conditions, the mass of energy was dispersed! The Cerberus was hit by this counterbalance of building energy for Minor Almighty Damage! With a popping sound, the energy he was building up was dispersed as it lost concentration. As its head shook in pain, the hold that it had on the fissure weakened. As the platform began to crumble under its hold, the Cerberus plummeted down into the red glowing depths below!

Then, as if a result of it going back to where it belonged, the fissure began to reseal itself! The enemy had been defeated!

Just then, a strange entity had appeared over the hole. Around it seemed to be some sort of bubble that could deflect any and all harmful attacks. It seemed to be a normal human, but it was too hard to make out anything other than that. It's entire form seemed to be shrouded. Pulling out something from its clothing, a very large, strange seal began to form over the area where the fissure had formed. Whatever magic that was in that seal then slowly flew into the object the figure was holding. After that, the seal faded away. The figured turned towards those who had just defeated the beast. Just for a moment, it looked at them. And then, it faded away without a sound, leaving behind so many more questions.

The creature was gathering more and more energy, and it was clear that something was going to explode soon.  The only question was whether it was going to be it or them.  She started floating, and clung to a nearby building to stop herself from losing control of her movements too much.  The last thing she needed was to fly off into space or get hit by some debris around here when they've come so far.  Then, the energy finally collapsed on the creature and it ended up hurting itself and vanishing into the fissure.

Gravity returned and she ended up landing on the ground rather ungracefully.  At least she didn't land head first and she was far enough back that most people wouldn't see her.  Maybe.  She really hoped no one saw that.  As she got up, she noticed a strange figure where the creature used to be.  It wasn't someone she had seen before, and for some reason she couldn't sense them at all.  She always had some difficulty sensing humans, but she had gotten much better at identifying them, especially when she already knew they were there.  Why couldn't she sense this one?  Lucretia summoned Coeus and attempted to analyze the human, but for some reason she couldn't.  It was like he wasn't actually there.  What was going on?

Confused, she brushed herself off and took a deep breath.  Now wasn't the time to worry about something she couldn't do anything with.  There were people that were probably hurt and distressed, so she needed to make sure everyone here was okay.  The last thing she needed was to lose any allies because of her curiosity.  

"Good work everyone," she mentally broadcaster to everyone.  "If anyone is hurt come find me and I will heal you.  I'm by the building on the left side of the south end of the crossing."

Her legs were still shaking a bit, so she leaned against the building and crossed them to stop that.  She didn't want to seem jittery, that would just be embarrassing.

Something about the end of this battle just seemed so anticlimactic. Demon Dog tried to look all serious and built up a bunch of energy, right? He's about to let out some massive attack. . . then got tapped on the head and fell back into his hole. Everything went back to normal. Some weird guy stood near where the crevasse used to be--he was probably disappointed too. Getting all hyped up only to be let down like this sucked. As messed up as it sounded, Yumina considered that having more chaos would've been preferred to this.

Look on the bright side. At least it looked like no one died. Well, as far as the people she knew and could see from here. It's technically possible someone around the corner got hurt bad, but that didn't seem very likely.

Even if the end bored Yumina, the battle had enough excitement for one night of adventure. There's no point in trying to tempt fate by ending up in another large battle. Guess that meant it was time to go home already. But first, the Scanner Girl offered to heal up anybody that got hurt. Yumina didn't feel too bad, all things considered, but she did still have to get home. Something could happen on the way back, and it'd be nicer if she didn't start off another encounter with a handicap.

Yumina headed over to where Lucretia said she would be waiting. "I don't need help," she felt the need to point out first, "But I'd rather avoid lying about how I got hurt. Again." To be honest, she was starting to run out of excuses for how she kept getting bruised up overnight. Yumina wasn't particularly talented at hiding information. It might be simpler to just blame some imaginary bullies from school, but then everyone would want to know more and try to help. Which was impossible; it was all made up. Then there would be a long conversation about the importance of honesty that she really didn't feel like listening to again.

Getting healed now was the better move.

With the damn dog finally disappeared and the fissure closed, Kate breathed a big sigh of relief. She was still running on an adrenaline rush and wanted to raise a cheer but it didn't feel appropriate. She was sore all over and she was sure that the others were just as pained. She looked around, somewhat concerned for the rest of the people who fought with her.

Nobody seemed to be seriously hurt and those who had been knocked out were back on their feet. This made her happy because they hadn't suffered any losses.

She was still worried about what they had witnessed, but there was time enough to discuss that later. Right now they had to pull together and make sure everyone was okay.

Gingerly, she approached the rest. "Hey, everyone alright?" she asked a little loudly. "Anyone need help?"

She turned to the boy with the equine Persona. "Thank you very much for your healing. You were a great help," she said with a smile.

With a sigh she leaned against a wall and rubbed her wrist. The fletching of her arrows had hurt her wrist a bit. She might need to purchase a bracer to keep her arms protected. "So... did anyone get a good look at that thing that showed up in the end? That seal and the bubble thing? There was someone in that, I think."
