Kate screamed in pain when the ice attack hit. She was frozen to the bone in a far harsher and deeper way than ever before. She actually fell backwards into the now freezing water from the shock of it. Years of swimming practice kicked in and she pushed her head out of the water. Although her entire body ached form the cold, she pushed herself up and out of the water. Just in time for Lucretia's healing spell to wash over her and take the edge of the pain.

"Thanks Lulu! Ugh, damn that ice," she muttered.

She was about to attack the octopus with an arrow again when it lashed out with its tentacles and managed to grab three people.

"Not again!" she grumbled, recalling the Cerberus. "What is it with these things and grabbing people?! Ugh, and tentacles..."

That wouldn't do.

"Save your attacks! I'll try and get them all in one go!" she declared and summoned Antiope.

The amazon queen burst from the flash of light following the crushing of her card and hovering over the ground, she lunged at the mass of tentacles holding their allies captive. She twirled her spear and the blade flashed through the air as she moved in four different strikes, aimed at the three tentacles as well as the main body of the beast itself.

Ringo arched an eyebrow as he watched the kraken form the large crystal ball. It soon then exploded into numerous ice shards. The good news was, the defensive aura lessened the impact of the attack. The bad news is that it still hurt like hell and it badly affected him due to his Persona. Even worse, his body feels heavier.

Thankfully, Lucretia healed his wounds. Ringo's body still felt heavy but it wasn't feeling the stabbed and frozen at the same time now. His eyes glowed as Rama appeared over him with the bow this time around. Thankfully, Kate managed to free the tentacles so he has a clear shot. Rama waved his hand and sent a sphere of fire toward the kraken.

As the shards of ice went shooting in her direction, Anne managed to finally get some pep in her step and jumped out of the way, despite the water weighing down around her ankles.  Turning behind a post, she was able to avoid taking damage from the ice, which would thankfully leave more healing for anyone else who needed it.  Between her own automatic healing and Akira's, she was in tip-top shape again.

Thankfully, Kate took the job of freeing the ones who had gotten snatched up by the tentacles.  Who knew what they were up to.  "Thanks for grabbing them, Kate!"  Giving the other woman a nod, Anne splashed through the water around her feet towards the boss, aiming for a few more good punches before ducking back out of reach.  She could tell the buff Akira had given her before was about to run out, so she'd have to try and make the best of it while it lasted.

Well, for his first fight in years this was certainly working out in his favor.  They had two other powerful healers, which was good.  He could heal, sure, but his heals weren't that great back then and they certainly seemed worse now.  He could manage, but if they had better healers there wasn't any point in him wasting time on it.  With the seafood weakened, and their more powerful members already buffed, all that was really left was to buff up the stragglers and then work on repeating the process from here on out.  

It was tedious work, which was really damn annoying.  His eye twitched, and he sighed in frustration.  It was almost tempting to just try shooting it, but he could already tell even his souped up crossbow didn't hold a candle to some of the stronger attacks he saw flying around.  For a fleeting second he contemplated spicing things up, but decided against it.  He didn't know any of these guys well enough to tempt fate, and he didn't even know what else the squid was capable of.  Better to keep the shenanigans to some of the weaklings.

Nodding towards the ones who hadn't received buffs yet, he called to Babd for her to work her magic.  Again the horn blew, empowering those who hadn't yet gotten it.  He could reach a little farther than just those who needed it, so he refreshed one of those who he planned on grabbing his next chance anyway.

Hisui winced. She had always had a strong stomach, but the evisceration of the Japanese language committed by the boy who had cast the protective spell on her was enough to make Lucretia seem positively eloquent. She decided that the experience perfectly outweighed the debt she owed him.

Not that she had much time to contemplate the offense. Hisui raised an arm to shield herself from the driving ice, and when she looked up again, another tentacle was rushing her way. Before she could react, Hisui was caught up and being squeezed with bone-crunching force.

Yet again, she was overpowered by the monster's incredible strength, and yet again she was rescued by the combined efforts of the other Persona-users. One Persona leaped forward with a twirling blade that cut the captured ones free, and before Hisui even hit the ground, Lucretia had cast more of her healing light to mend the damage that had already been dealt.

Hisui frowned up at the kraken as she regained her balance. It seemed like the Persona-users were having an easier time keeping up with its attacks, compared to what she had seen of the battle against the three-headed dog. They had been able to rescue her twice now without breaking stride. But at the same time, it was hard to say whether the flood of attacks the Persona-users were sending back at it were even making a dent in the monster's amorphous body.

"Pace yourselves!" Hisui broadcast her thoughts to the others as she slid another grenade into her hand. "This one looks tougher!"

Hisui flung her grenade at the thing, hoping for a more solid hit this time.

[Shizuka Konaya]

Shizuka was annoyed that the giant monster wasn't dead yet, but she wasn't exactly surprised.  With how durable relative to their other abilities that these monsters tended to be this could last for awhile even with this many people here.  It didn't discourage her any though, even if she (and her clothes) were getting a little beat up in the process.  If demon hunting was this easy then anyone could do it and demons wouldn't even be a problem.

After that last round, Shizuka was especially focused.  Its attacks seemed to be moving so slowly to her at this point, that getting out of the way of them was no problem at all.  Even the words everyone else was saying were more like buzzes.  She understood them, but quickly dismissed them as irrelevant to her.  All that mattered was how much this thing needed to die and what she would be able to do to accomplish that.

[Amane Mana]

Amane began to curse her luck as one of the tentacles lunged toward her. Please don't please don't please do-! Amane was snapped from the ground by the tentacle and she struggled to get out. Well, this day has not at all been getting better. She struggled until not too long after she was cut free by spear wielding Persona.

The girl collapsed on to the ground. Well, she was now completely drenched by she can't exactly complain about that when there is a giant monster squid. She felt her body being empowered by something and looked over at the black haired adult. Amane took a sigh of relief and sped back further away with her increased agility. 

"Garu!' Silky once more appeared to fire a blast of wind at the Kraken.

[Marina Mikami]

Marina braced herself for the squid's next attack. It was another ice attack, one that managed to hit her this time. Luckily, ice did not do much damage to her. Otherwise, that attack looked like it would hurt more than it did. However, she didn't have much time to think about what to do next. One of the creature's tentacles soon grabbed and picked her up. She could feel herself being crushed in its grip. Not to mention it was gross. She struggled to free herself.

However, she didn't have to worry about that too long either. Someone's persona came up and freed her, along with the two other girls that had been caught by the tentacles. She didn't see who it was, but she'd have to thank them later. Then take a shower and wash these clothes thoroughly. She fell from the creature's grip and landed in the water. She had been healed as well, the pain she had felt only moments ago was already gone. She picked herself back up and, feeling the power she had gotten from one of the others start to disappear, decided to attack the squid with her parasol. She felt a little silly compared to everyone else using it, but she had a feeling an ice attack wouldn't do much.

Kyle had amazingly dodged the ice assault. He was moving too fast for the shards to hit him and emerged from it completely unscathed. Not only that, but someone cast a spell on him that made him feel faster, tougher and stronger. Great!

"Yo, thanks!" he called in English.

Now, he thought, he could really get cracking. He was still a far cry from the heavy hitters like Ariane, Kate (so much for calling her a butterball) and that long haired girl with the sword, but he wasn't about to sit the fight out.

They'd been trying different attacks so far but by all accounts nothing seemed to be this thing's weakness. He decided to take a shot at it too and summoned Sitri.

"Grenade-girl's right! Keep hammering him!"

The winged leopard roared as it emerged from the light and crouched low, gathering its power as the sky above swirled with clouds. It then stretched itself, roaring into the sky and spreading its wings, calling down a bolt of lightning from the sky to strike the giant octopus.

Another strong hit. This thing wasn't posing as much difficulty to her as that other monster was. That was probably because she now had armor that could protect her from her weakness. Though, she doubted such a squishy monster would have any piercing attacks. She could just keep slicing everything into bits while it gave whatever attacks it could. She was basically resistant or better to all types of physical damage. Something like that could almost be considered a walking tank. But in this world? It just seemed like a small but decent benefit. Funny how power seemed to scale so high with these abilities they had. It was honestly crazy. With that in mind, Luka went in to attack the Kraken's main body with a long slash.
