[Tristan Carter]

Tristan was in a bad mood. He didn't really know why, honestly, he just was. It was something that he had gotten used to in life. after all, it happened every so often. Often enough that Tristan had worked out how to simply seem indifferent during those times. This was because he hadn't really liked people's questions when he was upset. It drew too much attention to him.

Of course, there was something that bothered him. Tristan had noticed that he had been much more outgoing than he ever had been before. He assumed that it made sense, seeing as of how he was trying to make allies, not friends. Still, it seemed strange. However, it was a good kind of strange. The kind that said, "I'm growing as a person." Sadly, even the thoughts of that didn't lift his sunken spirits. Though it did help him realize why he felt down at that moment.

He realized he missed his friends- few as they were- from back home.

Luka was beginning to think back to that fight with the Cerberus again. She recalled what had apparently happened while she had just stopped going berserk. Apparently something crazy had gone on during that event. Namely, something about a strange figure appearing and doing something weird before disappearing. Was this the cause of all of this appearing? Still, they had no way of locating or confronting this mysterious presence. All they could do was wait. This bothered Luka quite a bit. While thinking about the situation, Luka decided to do some more hunting in the mean time.

While she was out, she ran into that boy again. Now that she mentioned it, he was foreign, wasn't he? For whatever reason, a lot of the people that appeared at night were also foreign. How weird. Did foreigners just have a higher chance of gaining that power? If so, that was pretty racist of fate to do that.

Tristan turned to see Luka approaching him. He gave her a small wave before realizing what was swiftly approaching behind her. He readied his gauntlets and summoned Odysseus, who cast his dark spell on both of the creatures. While the bird-lion hybrid seemed hurt by the spell, the leopard man didn't seem affected in the slightest. Well, Tristan had found his target.

"Hey, Blue," he said without any real thought, "You get the pretty kitty. And, as always, have a speed boost." He cast his lightening spell on Luka, making sure it would be easier for her to dodge, before running to the other side of the griffon. He didn't really expect the fight to last very long, as his spells made short work of most enemies. It would still do well to be careful.

With a slight movement of his hands, Tristan cast the darkness spell again. It didn't really seem to be doing as much damage as before, but it didn't look like the griffon resisted it. Maybe he just wasn't invested in the fight? Whatever the reason, it didn't matter. The griffon tried using a slash attack, which didn't work. It then tried a wind attack, which Tristan allowed to hit him. He was starting to feel like fighting in the spire was too easy. The only reason he was still there was because he felt sure that another big enemy might appear soon.

While Tristan was thinking about this, the griffon boosted its defense. Tristan sighed, still wondering now, all of a sudden, he had started missing his old friends. It was something to think about later. He concentrated, casting a darkness spell that killed the bird. He felt like talking about his issues might help, but the only person around was Blue. And, to be honest, she scared him a little.

There was that nickname again. Why was she being called blue, anyway? Could it really be just because of her hair? That would be kind of annoying if that was the case. She'd ignore him for now and just decided to focus on the big kitty. Drawing her sword like usual, she charged at the thing and gave it a good slice. It seemed to counter with some strong arrows though that brought her to one knee. That was her weakness. It would take more than a minute for her to recover from that. And to make matters worse, he was already getting ready to hit her with something stronger. More like, he was charging.

She forced herself back up and decided to finish him off before he could land another attack. With a strong two-handed swing sideways, Luka used the momentum created from this to make a second, stronger attack. She managed to throw off the demon just long enough for her to spot an opening. Aiming at the neck, she managed to lob the demon's head clean off. As the body dropped to its knees, the whole body simply dissolved. She got a bad score for getting hit by something so dangerous, but got extra points for style. This was her own grading style though. It would take her a moment to catch her breath right now. But she would be fine in a bit. Good thing she didn't need to rely on healers anymore.
