Walk the Killer's Path (Open; Party of 2)

Luka was wearing her usual attire for her hunting sessions. It worked well for her so far and it was easy to move around in. Her attacks were proving effective enough against the youkai that would rear their heads at her. Though, she believed that was mostly due to her already growing technique. She was on par with others in terms of strength but they also possessed skills which she outright lacked. Sure she said that magic was for losers, but did that mean she wouldn't get any abilities of her own? She certainly hoped not. She wanted to continue growing like the other people she was encountering. With a bit of irritation on her mind, she began to channel that hatred into killing intent.

She would probably run into some more youkai tonight. And with it, probably some more humans as well. It mattered not to her. She would simply continue her training and hope it paid off. Luka was not someone who knew failure. Heading through the brush of the park, Luka would once again walk the killer's path.

[Seiji Dalton]

Was it time to go on a monster hunt again? Probably so, Seiji figured. Trotting through the streets, he whistled merrily and earned a strange look here and there from people passing by. His mood was surprisingly upbeat, all things considered. It wouldn't be long before he reached the portal and stepped through. Again, he was in the realm of the Fae. He glanced around, looking for any immediate threats and finding none. These demons were nice people, Seiji mused. They politely stood aside until him and whoever gathered up night after night. What would the startling revelation of the night be? Maybe they drew straws to decide who had to go out and fight the humans that showed up.

Honestly, Seiji was surprised he didn't run into more than one or two people a night. Who knew what kind of progress they could make into one of these areas if four or five people got together and seriously made an effort to discover what secrets these areas held. Eventually, he spotted a familiar face. The blue haired girl! Had she told him her name? Seiji said "Yo." As he made his way up to her. There was his partner for the night. "I figured I'd see you again sometime. You ready for another brawl? No charging in this time. Well, unless one of them has a sword. I call fighting that one if one does."

As she was searching around once more, Luka heard a slightly familiar voice. Turning around, she made out an equally familiar figure. It was the kid with the large sword. Great. She wasn't sure what to say to him. Just as she opened her mouth though, she heard an ominous bellow from nearby. Was this another one of those giant? Honestly, she had been running into too many of them lately. On the bright side, it certainly was not. On the bad side? It seemed to be something much worse. Luka opted to go in first this time as to avoid running into an attack. Since her fists seemed to be more reliable, she decided to go swinging first. Running up to the enemy, the girl took a few jabs at the hulking. . . troll? With not much surprise, it had a lessened effect. My fists don't work on this guy. She figured it would be wise to tell the boy that just in case. As she did, she quickly pulled out her blood-stained wooden sword and began to slice while dodging blows.

Between her attacks, a stray shot got her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her and hurdling her back quite a way. She kept on her feet surprisingly. Clenching her stomach, she held her sword and glared at the troll in her path. Sucking it up, she gripped her sword with both hands and charged in with newfound ferocity. Going for a stab, followed by a slice or two, Luka began going to town on the enemy troll while keeping to her dodging. Another blow like that would make it dangerous for her to continue. Her sword was still only made of wood. Her heightened abilities could only compensate for so much. She was at least glad she wouldn't be alone in fighting this thing.

[Seiji Dalton]

She was an impressive fighter. He had to say that. She was really getting into this whole fighting thing. When the troll emerged, the blue haired girl took point and Seiji instantly summoned his own Persona. Given how wide Wart's attacks could go, he made sure to avoid sending in his Persona while she was near the Troll. Cutting her in half would be a horrible end to her life and their budding partnership because they worked so well together. "Even the narration is sarcastic." Seiji thought as he watched her go. She took a swing at a big hulking troll with her fists. And then she got off telling him not to do foolish things like charging enemies. He couldn't tell if she had anything on her hands to make the hit stronger. It really didn't matter considering the blow didn't seem to impact the troll much. "Great. If only my brother was here. He has fire and trolls hate that stuff."

Wart would occasionally dive in and deliver a strong slash to the Troll, making sure that the troll was between him and the girl. It was interesting to view the differences between how his Persona wielded its sword and the girl did. He assumed his Persona could theoretically manifest his powers however he saw fit. Since he was a very detail-oriented person when it came to the things he actually cared about, though, the knight used actual medieval swordplay. In contrast, the girl seemed to be using her wooden sword in an eastern style.

After the blue haired girl's assault was done, Seiji saw it regenerate its wounds. He had to do something and quick before it grew back to full health. Trolls were funny like that. "I've got this. You stand back and rest." Despite the western make of his blade, he fell into the stance he used in Kendo matches and readied himself for the charge to come. Raising his blade, he gave an uncharacteristically enthusiastic scream and lunged towards the Troll. Wart's swordplay was composed and as fatal as ever. Its blade found its mark and Seiji felt the strain that accompanied the sword connecting with flesh. It tired him out but it felt good to know his Persona was doing something to that thing.

The troll looked like it was on its last leg as it stumbled back into a tree with enough force to topple it. Seiji and Wart both charged again. Master and Persona were side by side, one running along the ground and one floating gracefully towards the target. A sense of urgency filled Seiji as he saw the creature pumping itself up. A powerful surge of energy rolled over him and he knew something big was coming soon. The maneuver he was doing was one he'd practiced time and time again. A double slash. Moving parallel to one another, Seiji and Wart slashed at the Troll. Their blades cut clean through and met in the middle, clashing and sending small sparks into the creature. It roared in pain and fell over, dead. Turning back to the girl, he gave a light wave. "Well. That could've gone worse. I guess you want to stay here a bit longer. I'll see you around."
