Name: Seiji Dalton
Age: 17
Date of Birth: June 19th, 20XX
Birthplace: Okinawa
Gender:Trigendered Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Face Claim: Makoto Naegi - Dangan Ronpa
Appearance:
Height: 5'6"
Distinguishing Features: A slouching posture. Otherwise, nothing really stands out about how he looks.
Class: Persona User
Arcana: 0 - The Fool
Occupation: 3rd Year high school student
Starting Equipment: Level 1 Bastard Sword. It deals slashing damage.
Personality: "I'm not that special." Is how Seiji would describe himself, with a blank expression and a deadpan tone. He's mastered the art of keeping his true feelings in. Years with only a father, who himself wasn't the best role model, has left him with a slightly negative, cynical outlook on things. He rarely ever leads a conversation, instead allowing others to speak. They usually voice whatever he was thinking anyway, which leads into his idea that his presence rarely contributes much to anything. When he speaks, his words are concise, to the point, and convey his emotions perfectly. Seiji never hides his true feelings from others. He's an open book, and if he feels that someone is acting rudely, he will tell them as such. Presently, he feels like a fish out of water, thrown into a new setting after living on a military base for so long. He carries both American and Japanese ideals, but finds certain aspects of the latter's culture strange and alien. For example, he finds the bashfulness when around members of the opposite gender that one feels attraction to a bit silly. Girls aren't some great mountain to be climbed to him, they're just people like everyone else.
Seiji is an excellent listener and most people find it easy to open up around him, at least a little. What you see is what you get. He sometimes inadvertently draws others into serious conversation, which doesn't always work to his benefit. He possesses a genuine, deadpan sense of humor that can sometimes go over the heads of other people, due to his ability to say anything with a straight face. Intelligence-wise, he is above average. In that regard, what sets him apart is his ability to quickly improve. At his new school, Seiji has started to care more about his academics. Unlike most modern young men, he is possessed of a rigid idea of right and wrong. He'll rush to the aid of someone in need, and is always there for his friends. Overall, it could be argued that Seiji, due to his status as almost a blank slate, has no personality. It could just as easily be argued he's merely a social butterfly. It's up to each person to decide.

History: Living in a modern day Japanese city with a name like 'Seiji Dalton' earns you a few odd looks. Seiji was born out of wedlock after a one night stand between a Japanese woman of ill repute and an officer on one of Okinawa's military bases. When he was born, his mother quickly realized that she could ill afford another mouth to feed. Whether out of a desire to give her newborn a better life or simply because the expense was too much, she approached Seiji's dad and worked something out. He was given his father's last name and a name decided by his mother. Unfortunately for Seiji's dad, his affair was the last straw in an already strained marriage. His wife caught the next plane back to the states, leaving the elder Dalton to raise a mutt son on his own.
All things considered, he did the best he could for his young son. But a single father with obligations could only do so much. So, Seiji was left to his own devices more often than not. The other children with whom he was of comparable age didn't have much in common with him. He mostly stuck to his own. He showed some signs of above average intelligence before he started school by teaching himself to read so he could properly play text based games, but such promise quickly wore off. Even as a young child, Seiji was only ever average at most things. Average grades, average physical activity, average social skills. There was no skill during those days at which he could say he truly excelled. He simply existed, going wherever he was allowed and doing whatever got him in the least amount of trouble. Of course, he never really put much effort into things either.
A C in his classes was good enough for him. Unfortunately for Seiji, this attitude put no small amount of distance between himself and his father. Some of the brothers and sisters he'd never met were truly exceptional people. His eldest brother was finishing up an officer program and was about to join the armed forces. His eldest sister was working her way through medical school after graduating top of her class at a nice university. Those children, the ones he could be proud of, were half a world away while the child right in front of him had no aspirations for success. Moreover, Seiji was never one for outwardly displaying his emotions. Instead of raising his voice back when his father raised his, he simply looked at him with a stoic expression.
His father spoiled him at times though. He had a lot of money that wasn't really going anywhere except to pay for child support and so Seiji got to enjoy lots of different things. Movies and video games quickly became his life. With a real life that wasn't particularly enjoyable or noteworthy, he buried himself in the lives of others. He played as heroes of all stripes and colors. Occasionally, he'd even play the villain. For better or worse, most of what he knows about morality came from being reared by video games. Movies about loners moving from place to place found a special place in his heart. He enjoyed cowboys and samurai movies a lot. To this day, he always dresses up like Sanjuro from Yojimbo for Halloween. An adoration for Samurai quickly led to a similar adoration for knights and swordplay.
So, as Seiji entered middle school, he finally found something that he could say he was good at. Kendo was an honorable way to fight. He trained his mind, honed his body, and approached every battle with a cold stoicism that unnerved his opponents. Still, he didn't make many friends. A few people tried to close the gap that Seiji inadvertently created between himself and others but none managed to have any degree of success. Still, this effort in one area of his life leaked into others and his grades started to improve bit by bit.
Unfortunately for Seiji, the life he'd known would quickly come to an end. His dad had decided he was done with the military life. It was time to go home to the states. There was some excuse given about a need to smooth things over because of this law or that one but Seiji knew that his dad really just wanted to go home, repair his real family, and move on with his life. Arrangements were made with Seiji's mother and some brother he'd never even met. Standing outside of one of Okinawa's airports, he found himself clutching his worldly possessions and a one-way ticket to Tokyo. Saying a silent prayer, hoping things wouldn't be bad in his new home, he walked inside, boarded the plane, and flew to Tokyo.
His initial meeting with his brother, Takeda, was an awkward affair. He didn't talk much and his brother was gruff. Instantly, Seiji knew there was a wall between his brother and himself. Things only got worse when Seiji got to Takeda's apartment (which was directly above the store at which he worked) and saw how filthy it was. He'd seen bachelor pads before on TV but this one took the cake. Seiji, seeing no other option than to clean the place himself, tidied the place up all afternoon until it was nearly spotless. Takeda felt like his brother needed a reward for this. Despite their meager funds, they went to the movies and caught some midnight show.
That was where they found themselves when the dark hour began. In an instant, the world around them changed its appearance and became some corrupt parody of itself with blood running down the walls, a low green light, and coffins lining the isles where once there were people. Worse yet, there were creatures that took it upon themselves to assault the brothers. Throughout that day, Seiji had a terrible headache. There amidst the shadows in the movie theater, it felt like his head was pulling itself apart. The shadows were almost upon them when he saw a card floating in the air. It had a '0' on the bottom, he noticed, as he reached out to grab it.
In a brilliant flash of light, he felt new power swell up inside him as some creature out of his psyche was given form. When Takeda suffered something similar, they made short work of the shadows. Unsure of what to make of this new power, they found a fortified position, held up there, and were shocked when the world went back to normal. They both decided to investigate the matter further when they had time and went back to their daily lives. Of course, fate would conspire time and time again to keep them from living a life that was too normal.
OOC Name: Akihibro Cynada
Notes: Seiji is on the Kendo team and is a member of the health club.
Persona: Wart
Appearance: Compared to most Personas, Wart isn't particularly impressive looking. It barely managed to break six feet in height and it lacks the fanfare that usually accompanies a Persona when summoned. He wears a helmet that, while half open, casts a shadow that obscures the face. Someone who is around Wart for more than one fight will notice that the color of the leather and chain on his shoddy armor seems to change every time he is summoned. In his right hand is a longsword and in the left a shield. If someone cares enough to look, they'll notice that each of his limbs appears to be that of a different animal. His left arm is a bird's talon, his right is a cat's paw. The legs are those of a dog.
Persona Lore: Before he plucked the sword from the stone, Arthur Pendragon was a squire in service to Sir Ector, his foster father. While unaware of his kingly lineage, he was eventually taken in by the wizard Merlin. Merlin turned him into different animals and he learned lessons in these forms that prepared him for his destiny as king of Britain.
