Poor Man's Paradise (Open, Party of Three)

Tristan had realized something last time he was in the supermarket. He realized that he could easily get whatever food he needed without fear of the police going after him. Sure, he realized it was wrong, but he needed the money. He could either pay for food and risk his life without better equipment, or he could get his food for free and save up for better armor. The choice was clear to him.

He knew he could handle whatever shadows came after him, so he wasn't exactly concerned with that. He grabbed a plastic bag and started with prepackaged meals. Afterwards, he would go into the fresh produce section. He hurried slightly, though. After all, he had less than an hour to get everything he needed.

The results of the supermarket investigations ended up being more interesting than she expected.  No matter who broke anything, or the circumstances behind it, whatever was broken remained broken once the midnight world ended.  There was one exception: the dinosaur.  How exactly did everything repair itself once it died?  It was very interesting, and rather puzzling.  She wasn't even sure why the creature was there.  She certainly didn't sense anything like that normally, and she still wasn't.  So, she was returning to the supermarket to continue this investigation.  This time though, she didn't have any plans, and was just walking around thinking.

Eventually, she came onto an odd sight.  There was a human taking food?  It wasn't that surprising in general, but who it was doing it surprised her.  Lucretia tilted her head and continued staring at him.  She didn't particularly care, it was just strange.

"Weren't you the one worried about what people would do with this power?" she spoke in English.

[Takumi Fujioka]

Takumi managed to reach a supermarket on his trip around the neighborhood. Funnily enough, he saw some people nearby. As he got closer, he actually recognized the two of them. They were at that meeting from before. As he approached them, he realized just what he was seeing. I see. Grabbing a shopping cart, the man began to grab whatever it was he liked. This mostly consisted of expensive meats and fish, but he would aim to grab other healthy things too. He just figured it would be good to build a bit of muscle if he was going to be out and about during the night like this.

Guess I can remove food expenses from my list of needs. He doubted the other kid stealing or that girl would bother telling him otherwise. Not that it'd matter to him. This certainly was a good day for him, even if he didn't show it. For him, it was like he just got a large raise at work. Only, instead of receiving money, he was just spending less of it.

Lucretia shrugged as another person joined the party.  It's not like she payed for her own food, so she didn't feel the need to take anything herself.  If she was going to it would have to be from a much more expensive place than this.  Regardless, there were creatures among the food and they decided now would be a good time to attack.  She scanned them all and read out the results to her allies, inside their heads as usual.

If she remembered correctly, Tristan could hit every single one of those weaknesses, except for the ones that were weak to blunt trauma.  Fortunately, that was the area she could hit, so she could handle those while he handled the rest.  She quickly grabbed some bags and tied them together, then threw it around the horn of the beetle and tied the other end on one of the shelves.  After throwing a few random objects at it to get its attention, she ran off, causing it to chase her and thus pull the shelf down on top of itself and its buddy.

[Takumi Fujioka]

In the midst of his 'shopping spree,' Takumi noticed that they had attracted quite a few unwanted guests. Looking over towards the enemies for a second, he simply went back to filling his cart with goodies. Well, this was a part of his plan of course. He wasn't much of a help offensively, but he could come up with some ways to take these enemies down. Once his cart was filled up with goodies, he rammed it into the balance enemy, and pinned it against the wall. I've got it pinned! It shouldn't be able to attack for a second. As he said that, he threw out a heal to everyone just in case. It would seem it'd be up to that boy to fight everything. Takumi was honestly feeling a little useless at this point. The best he could do was pin down all the enemies. Well, if need be, he'd pin them until they simply died. He could do that, right?

Tristan turned around to see Lucretia, who said the one thing to make him regret his decision. He gave her a sheepish look of shame and guilt before he heard a man's voice. It seemed the man from the meeting had arrived. And it appeared the man had brought some friends.

Lucretia dispatched two of the creatures with a shelf, while the man pinned down one of the other Shadows. Tristan summoned Odysseus because it was made clear that he was the only one suited for the actual combat. The Greek warrior wasn't armed with anything, but Tristan noticed the room got darker. Suddenly, all of the remaining shadows were covered in materialized darkness that sprang from the floor. 

The only thing that remained when the darkness cleared was the scales thing, which didn't really surprise Tristan. After all, Lucretia had said it resisted darkness. Still, it was a shame. Its weakness was the one magical element Odysseus couldn't hit. So, instead, Tristan had the Greek appear with a ball of flame in hand. The ball was lobbed at the monster, which vaporized in the flames.

Tristan looked around and sighed. "You're right, Lucretia. Thanks for setting me straight." With that said, he started to leave the building. He didn't care what the others did then. He just wanted to go home and contemplate his actions.
