Good afterevorning, my dear subjects! What's left of you, at least. I came in to discuss some things on behalf of both myself and Chrumburger Satanpickles. Naturally, it's about that big purple elephant in the room, the one that some of you have even gone so far as to notice! No, not the Illuminati. That's for another time, another place, and another sequel. No, what I'm going to speak with you all about is the state of the board, both my and his participation on it, and the fate of the board.
As you all might have noticed, the board is very slow right now. Even the bosses- including the FMB- have basically come to a standstill right now. There's a number of reasons for that, but we can boil them down to both Chrom and myself. Between being busy and suffering from an acute case of apathy syndrome, the both of us have, honestly, lost most of our drive for the board. This is why things have basically ground down to a halt. Now you know, and knowledge is power, and power corrupts!
Now, at the present, neither Chrom nor I have enough interest to continue running the board. Additionally, we don't want to drag things out unnecessarily in a half-hearted manner. There's plenty of reasons we've ended up like this, but, if I had to put a spotlight on any in particular, we weren't entirely happy with some of the changes we made to the system. A lot of them were good in that they alleviated the workload and made modding quicker and more efficient, but some of them ruined, in his words, “the feeling of progression” we had back at Shackled Paradise. You win some, you lose some, I'd say. At the very least, we'll keep it in mind for the future, should we choose to make another board. There's plenty of other things to mention, but I'm not here to ramble. This was just one of the bigger things.
Now, you might be wondering about what we'll be doing about the board if we're effectively stopping with out interaction. A good concern! We're not closing shop. Don't let that fear nag at your adorable little minds. No, we'll be letting the board remain open, and people can still post. However, without a functioning member of administration, new characters, shopping, exploring, and bosses will no longer occur. Effectively, the board becomes an entirely focused social experience. However, we are not against letting someone else take the reins after us to run the board in its full capacity. When we say “in its full capacity”, we don't simply mean modding explores and shops. We mean creating new missions, running area bosses, and events like the FMB. It's a big order, so we're not expecting many to step up to the plate, but, even for the ones that do, we'll be considering their capabilities before we give a positive or negative thumb waggle. It might sound cruel, but you have to understand that this is our creation, and we'd prefer to not just oust it to the first willing hands that pop up from the masses. That said, if you've been in staff before (with us, specifically), you've probably got a good mark on your resume, so don't be afraid to, either. Worst we'll do is say no. And prepare spears to lob at you when you turn your back to us. Nothing terrible!
But that's about that. Circumstances will not allow for much activity on this front. The board will still run, and, provided we have faith in the person (people?) stepping up, it may even run a bit better than it has the last two or so weeks. Nothing much to say on that. Now, in regards to the future, neither Chrom nor I have much planned. If we do do another Persona board, it'll probably be much closer to the release of Persona 5 stateside, but, if we do do another Persona board, we can say this: It'll be much closer to the experience of PSP1, while keeping the better points of PSP2 in. Who knows? We might even make it a literal “PSP3”. Ha-ha-ha . . . fuck acronyms.
So, my beloved sentient fleshbags, human chamberpots, and other derogatory, yet affectionate terminology, the ride will still continue, but we are stepping off. We'll see you next time, on the next episode of Dragon B- wait, what, no. We'll see you next time, be it on another board, or on Skype.
Or when we need to give somebody an official response to wanting to take over.
