Dusting Skeletons (Party of 2; Luka)

”So, Miss. Name's Frederick. You can call me Riki if it's easier. Mind if I ask your name?” He raised his voice a little. Sure, it'd probably attract more of the monsters, but they'd manage to take care of it just fine. Besides, they were probably coming anyway due to the sounds of the fighting. And a name to call the girl by would be nice. He didn't think it was too outrageous of a request. Maybe out in public if they just shared a few words, but this was effectively a deathtrap dungeon filled with nasties that were trying to kill them. Even if they were, you know, effectively sweeping them with minimal difficulty. And, call him silly, but he felt a bit better having a name to assign to someone he was fighting with. Couldn't just give silly nicknames or terms for people.

Though he did await an answer, he twirled his ax and looked around. Better to keep his wits about him and make sure that nothing nasty appeared during their brief exchanges.

Turning to the large guy with the ax, Luka tilted her head. Luka. She wasn't much for words, but a name was easy enough. It seemed like every time she went out, someone ended up meeting her. Almost every single time, that person wanted to talk. Well, except for that scanner girl. She was even quieter than her. I take it you don't usually fight in your underwear then? She totally didn't forget that sight at the Cerberus battle. Not that it really bothered her. She honestly figured it must have been normal for some people to walk around like that. Luka was weird like that. Well, more like uninformed. Not that she would ever dress up like that. Too embarrassing!

Luka could hear more monsters coming now. They had probably heard the sounds of them fighting. That, or talking.

Was that how a chuunibyo felt when they finally grew up and someone reminded them of their stupidity? When Luka just casually blasted that question out, he let out a groan. Well, groan-slash-howl. It was one thing for grown women to remind him, now he had pretty high school girls doing the same?! It wasn't going to happen again. No, no, no. Wasn't that practically some form of sexual harassment?! Her towards him, that was. Naturally, the legal system would have seen it in the reverse. As if he was being saved, another bunch of enemies appeared. He could just ignore that unfortunate, mean, and otherwise embarrassing question.

”Oh! The next ones are here. Let me just take care of that hand.” He just threw himself straight into the fight, letting Zouchouten fire another God Hand. For better or worse, the hand bounced out of the way and slashed at him. It hurt marginally, but it wasn't anywhere near noteworthy. The second God Hand splattered the mess of an appendage against the ceiling, essentially producing black rain. He was in the clear. In more ways than one.

Rather than an answer, Luka received a groan from the guy. She simply tilted her head in confusion. Did she say something wrong? Before she could really think over it, Riki pointed out more enemies. By that time, Luka had completely forgotten the whole thing and went right into battle mode. Since he had already picked his target, that left Luka with the little blob.

This should be more than easy enough. Pulling her sword out, she jumped above the enemy and went for a downward slice. The combined force of her sword going down and the effect of gravity on her combined to make an extra strong swing. The little blob shot off a weak electric attack at her before she got to him. It didn't hurt particularly, but she felt it. After that her sword hit the blob, cleaving it dead in two. It even left a bit of a mark in the floor. Hopefully someone could clean that up in the morning.
