Walk the Killer's Path IV (Open; Party of 2)

Something in the distance seemed to be bothering Luka for a while now. A strange spire seemed to form during the Dark Hour that really couldn't be explained. One day when Luka was out and about, she realized that this spire took the place of one of the buildings that was normally there. Realizing how strange the building was, Luka decided to try and climb up it to see what was inside. Armed with her weapons only, the girl entered the spire and began to find her way upwards. Now that she thought about it, she was sensing a lot stronger presence than what was usual. She continued climbing anyways, regardless of that danger. She felt more than confident in her ability at this point. In the worse case scenario, she could simply run.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

Lucretia decided to take a break from her midnight creature studies to investigate some of the areas with stronger creatures.  This trip was partially to see the terrain and the creatures, but also because she was curious to see what the stronger ones were capable of.  She was confident in her healing skills at this point, so if something went wrong she would have a method of dealing with it.  The nature of her abilities allowed her to pick her battles carefully, so that was even unlikely to happen in the first place.  She was just being cautious because she could never forget that this place was dangerous and one wrong move could get her killed.

As she got there, she sensed a familiar presence and opted to walk towards it rather than explore alone.  Once she was in range, she just waved to the other girl, as there wasn't much need for words or other gestures.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

Lucretia analyzed the enemies and read out their abilities to Luka as usual. These creatures were significantly stronger than any she had encountered yet.  While, this was expected given how this area felt, it was still a little surprising to experience the difference.  She was pretty sure that her attacks wouldn't help much here.  Her usual tactics of dropping something heavy on them probably wouldn't even hurt them that much anymore.  She would need some better materials before she attempted to seriously fight creatures on this level.  

However, if Luka had improved since they last met, there probably wasn't much to worry about.  Her abilities were much more offensively focused than Lucretia's after all.  For now, Lucretia would just focus on supporting Luka with healing, trying to make as many electric-based attacks hit her instead of Luka, and with the occasional pot shot for extra damage.

After being read the details of the enemies, Luka began to formulate her battle strategy. It would seem that she would need to fight everything this time. The scanner girl probably wouldn't be able to manage very well. Pulling out her red steel blade, she aimed at the bird. Well. . . they all looked like birds. She aimed at the green one, since it seemed to possess a healing ability. Dashing towards the enemy, she sliced at it horizontally before tossing some of her wind needles at the gold bird. It was a strong attack that seemed to throw it off a bit. Meanwhile, the green bird had counterattacked with a strong wind attack of her own. It hurt quite a bit, honestly. Meanwhile the third enemy which looked more like a bat, came up and sliced Luka. However, the attack had no effect whatsoever.

Again, Luka began to swing her sword at the green bird. After three slashes, the demon collapsed in a bloody mess. Without hesitation, Luka had already made her way over to the second bird while throwing more of her needles in its direction. It didn't take much more than that, given her ability to master the usage of any weapon. All of this left just the bat which tried using another attack. While Luka could feel the blow, it was not as strong as it should have been. She was developing more resistances. Feeling empowered, Luka charged at the enemy and plunged her sword through its chest. It was a critical blow. On top of having a stronger sword, she was becoming much more efficient with her kills. Grasping at her side, she felt the effects of her health regeneration kicking in. She would be fine in a little bit. Still. She was really starting to get stronger. Being able to take on all of these enemies proved it.
