Stepping Up [OPEN, party of 2]

There was still a bit more she could investigate in some of the areas with weaker enemies, but Lucretia was getting a bit impatient.  Her investigations were stagnating, and it was becoming clear to her that focusing just on those areas was starting to become less useful.  This meant that it was time for a bit more risk, but still not more than necessary.  There were still some areas that had creatures that were weaker than she was, so she opted to explore those areas first.  Sunshine City was the closest area with weaker enemies to the areas she was familiar with, so she opted to start there.

Hopefully she'd find something interesting.  If not, she might have to go to areas with even tougher enemies.

[Tristan Carter]

Tristan decided that going into a new area might be beneficial. After all, the best way to improve is to take on tougher enemies. However, he didn't know where to go. After all, he had only went to the weakest areas so far. It wouldn't be easy to find a place where he felt confident.

The train station would probably be the best place to go, Tristan reasoned. From there, he could catch a train and go somewhere random. However, on his way he found someplace right there nearby. He rushed inside, thanking every god he could think of for his luck. And, as far as Tristan could tell, it only got better. The Italian girl, Lucretia, was already there. He gave her a smile as he approached. SUre, they may have differing opinions on multiple things (humor included), but nobody could doubt the fact that they worked well together.

She waved as the familiar human approached.  Her information on him was rather outdated as well, so just before the shadows attacked, she opted to scan him again to update it.  He was getting quite a collection of skills.  Unlike most people, he could actually put her analysis abilities to use with that many different elements.  

Once the shadows came out from behind the bushes or where ever they like to hide, she scanned them as always.  This was perfect, one of them was weak to one of his elemental attacks, and one of them was weak to her attack type.  She called out their abilities, and charged after the one with a strong fire attack.  Such an attack wouldn't hurt her much either, so this really was perfect.  It was a shame she couldn't just finish off the healer now, but that was fine.  It probably wouldn't last long anyway.

Because this was the entertainment district, there wasn't much need for her to use whatever random junk was in her pockets today.  There were plenty of chairs and electrical equipment in the buildings themselves.  She starting stringing up some chairs to the ceiling of a nearby building.  She was sure Tristan could handle attacks from both of them while she set-up.  When she was done, she threw a rock she found on the pavement at the flying creature to pull it towards her, so she could drop her rig of chairs on it.

Tristan turned slowly as the creatures approached. He heard Lucretia's voice in his head and gave her a nod. As she ran towards the creature with fire attack, he approached the healer. He couldn't let it undo whatever Lucretia had planned, so he caught the monster's attention with a bolt of lightning. The creature shrieked and cried out in agony and rage before whipping around.

The boy had Odysseus boost his speed just in time to jump out of the way of a wind attack. With a smile, Tristan decided to get a touch creative. He rushed the monster and drove his sword's blade into the mask. He then summoned Odysseus, who was armed with a bolt of lightning. The Greek launched the electricity, which flew straight to the metal blade. The sword then conducted the lightning directly into the creature, which shrieked and jerked around.

Tristan could tell the monster was almost dead, so he finished it off with another bolt of lightning to the sword in its face. The creature faded away, and the sword fell to the ground. The boy stepped over to pick it up and looked at the other monster. It was buried under a mountain of chairs, and Tristan doubted it had survived. After all, there was no movement in the pile. He gave Lucretia a thumbs up before heading back. He didn't want to deal with any more of the creatures there. Not yet, anyway.
