Never one to go along with things unquestioningly, Jacob has been determined to figure things out since the very first day his persona awakened. He is single-mindedly focused on this goal. After all, it doesn't seem like any of the other people have made any real progress. He isn't at all deterred by the fact that he himself has similiarly made little progress.
