Walk the Killer's Path II (Open; Party of 3)

Luka decided to stray out around the town a bit to see if she could explore some of the other areas around the city. Just like the places she had been before, everywhere she went was crawling with youkai. Well, at least she would have no shortage of target practice. Looking down at her sword, the girl was beginning to wonder if she should buy a new one. Provided, this was only a practice sword, she had been using it in serious combat. It had since been singed by lightning, worn down by tough enemies, and stained in blood. She wouldn't be surprised if it broke any day now. Luckily, she still had her fists to rely on when she needed. She was beginning to think about taking back what she said about magic being for scrubs.

Eventually the girl wandered by an old museum, which seemed to be filled to the brim with demonic activity. It would seem that she had found her new hunting spot. Creeping through the entrance, the girl looked at the surrounding exhibits that littered her view. Would these enemies be like the ones she fought in that weird place with all the fairies? Surely they didn't get harder than that, right? Luka wasn't sure if she could feel confident about anything being more powerful than that damn Spriggan she fought several times. Let alone, that troll. No. This would probably be a standard sweep of the area, purifying it of any issues.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

Lucretia's investigation into this supernatural phenomenon had been progressing...by some definition of the word.  She had begun tracking random creatures for a couple of days now, just to see their habits or if she could discern anything interesting from their movement patterns.  She didn't notice anything about them as of now, but she did notice something about herself.  Coeus' tracking range, and scanning ability had increased.  The change was a little disorientating at first, but this would likely be very useful.

Rather than just focus her efforts on one area, Lucretia decided to do some walking around until she found some more more weaker creatures.  If she didn't find any then she would expand her search to include some stronger ones, however that ended up not being necessary.  The museum had some weaker ones that she was able to safely stay away from and scan with no problems.

Eventually, she came across an unexpected sight.  There was another human here, and one she had seen before.  This time she wasn't feeling as tired, so she wasn't going to make the same mistake as last time.  Because her line of sight was so much wider here, there was no need to get close to the human in order to scan her.  Coeus appeared beside her.  One of its eyes pointed towards the ceiling, the other at the back of Lucretia's neck, and a red beam came out of both.  With that, she knew more about this human than she did before, and she would be much easier to find in the future.  The human may or may not notice Lucretia's magic, but she didn't particularly care either way.  She was going to make her presence known anyway.  

"I am surprised that so many people explore this place alone.  I can see the unfriendly creatures here, so they are very easy for me to avoid, but I have not seen anyone else with a similar skill.  How do you manage to stay away?"

[Ringo Shiro]

Here Ringo was again, in this museum inhabited by god knows what. But he wasn't in the condition to explore all of the museum last time. So here he was, investigating the area and hoping to find something new. Plus he had to compare notes about what creatures lived where and, come to think of it, why they are here. Come to think of it, why did those creatures carry masks? His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden terrifying sight. 

Ringo raised his knife the moment he saw what appeared to be some kind of blog with two large eyes. However, he saw no mask on the creature. His eyes focused down and he sighed in relief to see that it came from a person. This further showed that the range of Personas can be of a huge variety. The other night also told him he wasn't the only one in the local area trying to figure out this craziness. 

"Phew...other people." Ringo smiled over at them. "I'm Shiro Ringo." He greeted to others.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

Lucretia was still surprised to see so many people running around this place.  She wasn't sure whether she should be concerned or happy.  The shadows appeared before the girl could answer her question, but when she thought about it she understood it a little.  Lucretia herself could sense all the creatures and thus avoid them, but if she had the ability to just kill them efficiently that...might be okay.  It was still significantly more dangerous than what she had to deal with, to the point that it still seemed a little foolish, but people often do foolish things if they have a good enough reason to.  She could figure out the specifics later.  For now, there were targets to deal with.

As always, she started off by scanning all the enemies, but this time, rather than speaking out loud, she wanted to try something.  Her ability seemed to deal with the minds of her targets, so she was curious to see just how much she could do with that.  There was one scanned human, and one unscanned human.  Would they be able to hear her even if she didn't speak out loud?  It was a weird thought, but given how many hidden abilities her blob had, it was worth a shot.  It seemed to think that this would be possible at least.

"Darkness isn't good against this enemy, strike is very good.  Slash isn't good against this enemy, fire is very good.  Nothing appears to be very good or very bad against this enemy," her voice echoed in their heads.  "I hope this is not too surprising, I think this is better than trying to talk out loud.  I think these kinds of creatures can understand human words.  Attacking is not my good point, so I will focus on making sure the displays here do not get broken."

In her pockets today were a large amount of copper wire, some saran wrap and some thumbtacks.  While Lucretia didn't particularly care for art, she still respected peoples' creative efforts, and knew that many of these things would be difficult to replace.  She wasn't sure if the damage carried over to the 'real' world, but she would rather not take any chances.  She quickly tied some wire to some of the display lights around, creating a web that she would then buffer with the saran wrap.  It wasn't much of a shield, but it was the best she could do for now.  With one last quick motion, she threw the tacks onto the ground in front of the exhibits.  That should at least discourage anyone from getting too close.  If someone did, she had a couple of options.  If the net held out everything would be fine, but if it looked like it was going to break, then she could pull down on the wire and cause the display lights to simply collapse on the enemies.  It would likely hurt a couple of them, particularly the one that was weak to blunt attacks.

Though, once she finished her setup, she did take the time to scan the last human.  She regretted not scanning all the humans so far, so she wasn't going to make that mistake again.

A familiar voice called out to Luka. Or at least, she thought it was at her. Turning, she saw that girl from the time before. The one who knew how to beat the enemies. Honestly, she didn't really help too much given Luka could only use physical weapons, but that wasn't the girl's fault. Maybe she should look into getting some weapons that could do those types of damage? It would certainly help in case she was in a real pinch. More importantly, this girl was already here. Her question was probably normal, even if Luka found it to be a bit strange. Tilting her head, she answered. I don't avoid them. I kill them. She spoke plainly, as if it was a matter of asking how she likes her drinks. For the record, that would be shaken.

And then another boy showed up. This one was different than the last few she ran into. He wasn't holding a large weapon. Rather, he had a knife. Which, was fine. She was certainly more comfortable around someone swinging a knife than someone swinging a large sword. He seemed content with just finding other people. His name was Ringo it seemed as well. Luka opted not to give her name just yet. She hadn't done so with anyone so far. She was fairly sure that would likely persist. On that thought, Luka spotted some new enemies coming their way. These were a lot unlike the enemies from the other place. Rather than jumping in though, she waited; looking over toward the unarmed girl from before.

Was she going to say anything? This is what Luka thought as she cautiously drew her weapon and stepped back a bit from the approaching enemies. And then she heard her voice. Only, her mouth wasn't moving and her voice seemed close. But, what was that last thing she said? 'Rather than talking out loud.' Could she speak directly to the minds of others? Just how many different powers were there? Meanwhile, she was still left with nothing of the sort. Luka gripped her sword tightly, noting again which enemies she would be attacking. But before she charge in, she loosened the grip and placed the sword back in her sheathe. 'Strike,' huh? Charging in at that moment, Luka felt something change inside her mind. Everything began to slow down significantly at that moment. And suddenly, she felt her battle stance change unconsciously. Knowledge of various battle styles seemed to jolt in her head, stimulating her fighting instincts. Charging in, she dropped a three hit combo with astounding speed compared to what she was used to and destroyed the enemy immediately. It was akin to something a master in martial arts was capable of. Eh. Luka stood there in disbelief for a moment. Did that really just happen?

Thinking over it again, didn't that one boy suggest that there could be passive abilities? Could she have finally gotten a skill of her own? Right as she was about to go for the other enemies, she watched as the idol-looking enemy revived the enemy she had just utterly destroyed. Drawing her sword, she knew exactly what to do first. Again, Luka felt as if she simply knew many sword techniques that she never remembered learning from Shishou. With a deathly grin, she charged at the idol. Her technique felt as if it had reached the level of Shishou, if not exceeded. She began slashing it to bits with a rather pleased expression. She had embodied the path of a killer. Except, not really. It was simply a combination of excitement of finally growing in strength and the adrenaline flowing through her body. Noting what the other girl was doing, Luka ran back to the revived enemy. And rather than simply punching it to death, she kicked it back into the trap that was put out. Seems this other girl could do much more than what her powers allowed her to. With the enemy falling into the net, Luka watched as the lights tumbled over the enemy. It promptly disintegrated again; hopefully for good. Today was a good hunt. She figured the boy had the other one taken care of.With that, Luka decided to slip away to do some more solo hunting. She certainly wanted to try her new abilities out.

[Ringo Shiro]

Sadly before Ringo could talk, Shadows began to show up. They always tend to do that at the worst times. He readied his knife and his eyes began to glow. Appearing behind him was Rama as it readied an arrow toward one of those bizarre creatures. Before the shot was launched however...

"Darkness isn't good against this enemy, strike is very good. Slash isn't good against this enemy, fire is very good. Nothing appears to be very good or very bad against this enemy," Ringo looked over at the two girls. Neither of them seemed to have spoken. He arched an eyebrow in confusion until the voice in his head further elaborated.  "I hope this is not too surprising, I think this is better than trying to talk out loud. I think these kinds of creatures can understand human words. Attacking is not my good point, so I will focus on making sure the displays here do not get broken." Ringo nodded.

"Careful now." Ringo then saw the blue haired girl rushed one of the monsters. "Wa-..." He watched as the girl utterly obliterated it with just her sword. "Nevermind then." However, before they could celebrate the fact that they outnumbered them, one of the creatures that resembled an idol began to make bizarre noises. The enemy the girl just obliterated somehow reformed. Wait...they can do that?! Ringo aimed the arrow over at the Idol but the girl already charged for it. It was at this point Ringo decided to focus on the large stone arm that readied its sword in the mist of this chaos.

"Rama!" Before the sword could swing, An explosion of flame destroyed the sword. A few more explosions occurred on the body of stone. Ringo watched patiently as the stone burned away. He let out a sigh of relief as he watched the flames dissipate, the flames taking the remains of the creature with it. "That was a close o-." It was then Ringo turned to see the blue haired girl going off. He then looked over at the girl that didn't leave and shrugged, not sure where the girl is going.
