Yuuki does not know how to drive. Always, someone else drove him elsewhere. Public transportation or even private transportation, he never had the opportunity nor the need to learn how to drive a car. Now, as he stood in front of this dark parking lot, he realized that he should've done that before his career spiraled upwards. The man looked up at the structure and tapped his shoulder with his sheathed bone weapon. It seemed fun to drive up the lot. It spiraled. Hell, grabbing a skateboard, which he couldn't use either, and going down this thing would have been awesome. Exhilarating. It would've made his blood rush.

Or maybe not. The thought, though energizing, only had him force out a sigh. It was childish, and it couldn't ever compare to what happened in the past. The feeling devolved into a small elevation of his heartbeat as he reminisced. And at that moment, as he walked into the shady lot, he realized...

...he hated cars.

Kyle had wandered into this part of town during the Dark Hour for the first time. It was pretty quiet but kind of sinister. He didn't want to admit that it gave him the heebie-jeebies but dammit, it did.

Walking past several buildings, he decided to take his chances and turned off the road, dodged past some upright coffins and towards that towering parking lot. He'd never get used to the damned coffins. Especially with having to walk past one in his own house every other night. He stepped into the darkened parking lot and huffed. It stank of rubber and engine fluids and oil in here.

Up ahead of him he saw someone else and reluctantly he headed towards them. Shadows tended to pop up whenever he met someone and he might as well get ready to jig.

"Hey," he said sheepishly.

Kyle whipped around at the sound of a Shadow approaching. Hey, he was getting kinda good at telling when these little shits were going to turn up.

It didn't look too hard but his crazy experiences in the past had taught him not to judge by looks. He brandished his axe and summoned Sitri. The leopard snarled, ruffled its wings and swiped at the Shadow with its paw. To Kyle's surprise the blow was reflected off an invisible wall and the kinetic force of it returned right at him, knocking him off balance.

"Tch! Stupid thing," he muttered.

He had Sitri cast some lightning on its flying ass. It didn't do much but he noticed the stupid thing was holding out on him, like it was charging up for something. When that something came, a rain of arrows, Kyle had to duck for cover and thankfully, it was enough to save him from injury. He rushed the silly thing with a swing of his axe and succeeded in sending it reeling backwards towards the other person.

"Oh shit-- Hey! Look out, Shadow incoming!"
