Tower of Babel (Open, Party of 2)

Tristan could feel the presence of enemies nearby. That wasn't something he was really happy about. After all, he wasn't really here to fight. He was here to see if he could shop. After all, the towering structure was an other-worldly department store. Who knew what sort of wonders the boy could find? Besides, the way he saw it, his money could go two ways: either it would be seen as a rare currency and get him lots of stuff, or it could be worthless. If it was the latter, and he found something he really wanted, he could always fight his way out. 

Not like the demon police would be knocking on his door in the middle of the night.

This morning, Lucretia downloaded the floorplan of the building that was here in the normal world and printed it out.  This wasn't the normal map they showed on their website either, no she needed know where their offices and other hidden rooms were for this to be an accurate comparison.  Fortunately, those maps weren't guarded very well on their system, so it didn't take too long for her to break into their system and grab it.  She was going to do a very detailed analysis on just how this building changed.  It'd probably take her a couple of days to get through the entire building as huge as it was, but she did need to start somewhere after all.

Once again, she was off on her own, but sensed a familiar presence nearby.  It was especially convenient because it meant she could take some extra risks while exploring the area without having to worry about encountering a strong enemy, or getting into a battle that just took entirely too long.  So, rather than cautiously slink around the area, she decided to investigate what were some of the back offices in the real world.  Would they be the same here?

Sadly, right as she opened the door the creature a little further down the hallway happened to catch sight of her.  This situation seemed oddly familiar somehow.

"There is a demon attacking me," she sent a mental message to Tristan.  "Hit it with fire or pierce-based attacks and it will not last long.  I can heal over anything it does."

With that, she lured it over to Tristan so that she wouldn't have to fight for a very long time.  Hopefully he wouldn't mind too much.

Tristan heard Lucretia's voice in his sometime while he was exploring. It appeared that she had run into trouble and- What was that? Tristan heard a great amount of footfalls behind him, so he turned around. He was surprised by what he saw, honestly. Lucretia seemed to be leading a one-eyed bull towards him.

Tristan reacted quickly, summoning Odysseus and casting his darkness spell. It certainly wasn't a weakness, but the boy had no doubt that it would do more damage than his fire attack. The bull cast a spell that seemed similar to the speed buff that Odysseus casted, not that it mattered. Tristan stayed the same speed, and finished off the bull with a few more dark spells.
