Repairs for Science [OPEN, party of two]

The supermarket wasn't completely devoid of interesting happenings, but it was pretty close.  About the only thing she found interesting was that even though the refrigeration units stopped working during the midnight world, none of the food melted or spoiled.  As with her computers, it was like none of this actually happened.  Unfortunately, she lacked the scientific knowledge to understand how all that worked, but she did have the knowledge about how the lights and cooling systems worked.

Rather than putz around in the place for an hour, she went in this time with a purpose.  She was going to see how all these things worked during the midnight world.  After some experimenting, she found that she could put her hand in the middle of an electrical current and not feel much of anything at all.  She could tell the electricity was surging through her body, but it didn't hurt or appear to have any negative effects.  Thus, no matter what happened here she would probably be fine.

She took her small toolkit out of her pocket and started taking apart some of the lights.  They looked like they should be working properly, so she didn't understand why they didn't work.  Same with the cooling units.  For a secondary experiment, she was going to leave the lights dismantled and come in early in the morning to see if it was still like that.  The building did repair itself after fighting that huge dinosaur, so maybe it'd work the same here?  She did repair the cooling unit just in case though.  She wasn't quite heartless enough to waste that much food for science when it wasn't necessary.

Tristan didn't really feel anything interesting. He felt alright, he was still curious but he always felt that way, and the entire thing was just keeping his interest. Sure, killing monsters is fun and all. Fighting bosses made for an interesting change of pace, of course. But simply running around and killing everything was starting to get old. Running into the same people over and over was starting to lose value as well.

Speaking of, he found Lucretia while walking around in the supermarket. She seemed to be messing around with lights, so that was at least different. Maybe she was testing a recent discovery? Tristan approached her slowly, still trying to maintain distance while getting close enough to see what he was doing.

This was a familiar sight, or feeling.  She still wasn't quite sure which words to use to describe her third eye.  It was a good thing she decided to approach this guy about the supernatural phenomenon happening because she ran into him quite a bit.

There was only one creature this time, so she analysed it and read out its abilities as always.  This was a problem though.  Not the creature itself, but the fact that there were enemies here at all.  Lucretia was testing something very specific and it would be a problem if the creature attacked the light she took apart.

She tossed a pen from her pocket at the creature to get its attention and then stood as firm as she could.  She was going to try to direct all the firepower towards herself while Tristan finished it off.  The fire attacks wouldn't hurt very much at all, and she was very durable and could heal, so the other attacks should be no problem either.

Tristan smiled as the creature appeared. He was starting to get the hang of working with Lucretia. He could cover most elemental weaknesses that the girl revealed, so it seemed their abilities were almost complimentary. Still, he needed to focus on the fight. It seemed the creature was weak to wind, so the boy summoned Odysseus. The Greek lobbed a ball of wind at the creature before reappearing and doing the same. The monster retaliated with a slash attack that Tristan didn't even feel. Tristan gave a shrg as Odysseus appeared again and finished the creature off with a final blast of wind.
