Name: Surdus Amano
Age: 18
Date of Birth: October 31
Birthplace: Shibuya, Japan
Gender: Penis
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Jin Mo-ri -- The God of Highschool
Appearance:
Height: 6'0"
Distinguishing Features: N/A
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: The Hermit
Occupation: Apprentice Shinto Priest
Starting Equipment: A wooden bokken, blessed with spiritual powers that was passed down from his grandfather. A level 2 weapon; deals strike damage.
Personality:
Surdus is rather quiet and passive individual. Due to his upbringing he has a very traditional outlook on the world at large, and is very gullible in terms of how things operate in the modern world. He's your typical clueless, country boy he would prefer to take a hike out in the woods rather than play video games all night long. Though don't misunderstand, he's very curious about the modern world and often ventures out into the more populated areas of town in his down time from Shrine duties.
When not taking care of his Shrine detail he is a very laid-back type of person, and prefers watching over others from a distance. He isn't very much of a social butterfly, and is generally pretty quiet in group outings, but can have times where he can't control his curiosity and have a bit of an outburst of fascination. Surdus can be very awkward when making new acquaintances, but prides himself on trying to be courteous and respectful to everyone. While he doesn't know much he picks up on things very quickly in a physical sense and is a very athletic individual. In combat practice, he was praised as a 'prodigy' and could learn even complex swordplay very quickly; however, in terms of actual combat ability he has little to no experience. Making him prone to mistakes and errors in judgment. Due to his oblivious and gullible nature he is also easy to trick or mislead often.
He doesn't have very many close friends, but he is very protective of those he holds dear to him. He has a very strong since of duty and righteousness, and will often struggle with choices of morality versus self-preservation. He can also be quite easy to take advantage of; never having friends around his same age, so he can be talked to doing pretty much anything that doesn't completely conflict with his moral values.

History: Surdus was brought up in a very old-fashioned household. His parents were very traditional; mother and father both brought together through an arranged marriage, though they appeared to be very happy together. His childhood was a rather bright one, being raised into the lifestyle of a Shinto priest from a very young age. He was home-schooled by his mother and never attended a proper high school since there wasn't much need for it. He has always had an a bit of a predisposition toward the supernatural due to the teachings of the Shinto religion loved to hear his father and grandfather regal tales of their days as spiritualists that traveled from town to town purifying evil spirits from homes and other locations. Of course most of it was exaggeration, but Surdus believed every bit. He resolved to become a dedicated priest like his predecessors.
He awoke one night to the sound of metallic scraping, a dread whining screech that sent tingles down his spine unlike anything he'd ever felt before. Everything was dark, he couldn't even make out his hand in front of his own face. The last thing he remembered was taking a small nap outside while he was practicing sword strokes in the field out behind the Shrine. He quickly came to realize he was no longer outside, nor lying in the bed in his room. He felt around, realizing he was boxed inside of something. Before getting an opportunity to even panic, the container was torn open revealing a red overcast sky, the mask of a Shadow staring him down idly as is writhed and twitched about, trredding closer to his form. He quickly moves, every little cell in his body telling him this thing was bad news; adrenaline pumping heavy within his veins as he tries to make sense of things. Surdus couldn't think of anything but to run, brushing passed the creature as he continues to sprint. Not stopping until he winds up somewhere deep in the forest. He could still hear the rustling of brush all around him, knowing whatever it was chasing him would catch up to him eventually. He reached down, picking up a large tree branch, and looking around. Before he realized it, he was surround by three slime-like creatures all adorned with masks and wielding what looked like kitchen knives. "Don't die . . .Don't die . . .Don't die . . ." He repeated over and over in his head. His vision started to fade, his vision blurry as he sees a bright white light,a large white tiger and a strange voice in his head he'd never heard before. Though it gave a strange sense of familiarity. He shot up with a start, looking around as it was still dark out. The red sky had gone, and there was no sign of the creatures he saw before or the voice in his head from before. Surdus got up and quickly made his way back to his house. Was everything that happened that night a dream?
OOC Name: Tohka
Notes: Can usually be seen wearing glasses when working around the shrine along with his traditional shrine kimono. He tends to switch to contacts before adventuring out during the dark hour unless he loses track of time for whatever reason.
Persona: Byakko
Appearance:
Persona Lore: The White Tiger is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese Constellation (Si Xiang) along with Azure Dragon, Vermillion Bird and Black Tortoise. It represents the West, the autumn season and the element of Metal. During the Han Dynasty, people believed the tiger to be the king of all beasts. Legend had it that when a tiger reached 500 years old, its tail would turn white. In this way, the white tiger became a mythological creature. It was said that the white tiger would only appear when the emperor ruled with absolute virtue, or if there was peace throughout the world. Because the color white of the Chinese five elements also represents the west, the white tiger thus became a mythological guardian of the west.
