Name: Haruna Murakami (村上 春奈); birth name Haruna Koizumi (小泉 春奈)
Age: 19
Date of Birth: December 22
Birthplace: Hakodate-shi, Hokkaido; moved to Tokyo
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Demiromantic
Face Claim: Yuffie Kisaragi, Final Fantasy series
Appearance:
Height: 5 feet, 4 and a half inchesshort tall
Distinguishing Features: Has several extra piercings on her left ear; as well as this inked on her back.
Class: Civilian, for now. Will eventually wake up to be a Persona User in due time.
Arcana: Death
Occupation: Student / former gang member
Starting Equipment: n/a for now. For now.
Personality: The first thing anyone would notice about Haruna is the fact that she’s outgoing. Having a very approachable and friendly personality she uses this to her advantage in order to be able to expand her network of contacts—because how can one survive if they believe that they’re an island? Another prominent trait about her is the fact that she would immediately jump into any situation without hesitation—talk first, ask questions later. This also ties in with her tendency to get herself into trouble; due to her adventurous streak. Even if she doesn’t look it, she’s also rather smart; but chooses not to display that too much; because she’s afraid of being taken advantage of.
Underneath all the bubbly happiness and rolling ball of energy, Haruna has insecurities (as any normal person her age would); the first being that she’s rather jealous. The root reason of her jealousy stems from several events that had happened in her early life; and that also connects to her temper. She also has a habit of lashing out at anyone without warning whenever her buttons are pushed the wrong way, and can get explosive at times. She’d already been advised to take anger management classes in order to curb her fiery disposition and turn the anger towards something better—which she’d eventually done by joining two clubs that had drawn her interest.
Another negative trait about her is the fact that she’s cunning—and not in the good way (put it down to the environs that she grew up in). She can also be pretty secretive around individuals that don’t know her too much.

History:
Haruna’s life is full of changes; and these changes have had a major effect on her overall personality while growing up. Having been born to middle-class parents who live all the way out in Hakodate-shi in Hokkaido, one might assume that she is a country bumpkin; due to how isolated the northern island of Japan is compared to the rest of the country. That is a false assumption; since her parents had full intent on moving up in the world and leaving their mark on history. Her early years are unassuming enough; a young child who would always end up playing with the boys; therefore getting herself labeled as a ‘tomboy’.
The first of the changes would begin when she hit six years old; due to her mother getting involved in a traffic pile-up while headed home from work. She and her father had rushed to the hospital; only to find that the matriarch of the family had died on the way to the hospital. The young girl had never seen her father react that way; and it is one of the scenes that would forever be burned into her memory. After all the business with the wake and the funeral had been settled, she was left with just her father—who’d taken to going out drinking on evenings; and gambling. Eventually the change with her father spiraled so much she’d witnessed him going out of control; and lashing out at her several times in one of his drunken states.
Of course, the young girl was surprised—why would her father hurt her like that? The drinking and beatings would only get worse as time passed (and her father had sunk into a drunken stupor of depression); and for the next two years she endured the stench of alcohol and general disarray in their home; trying to keep everything together. The next change happened once she’d reached eight years old as she came home from school one day; and instead of seeing her father, she ended up seeing the big, scary police men milling around the house. After what felt like an eternity of questioning, she then learned the news that her father had killed himself from overdose; and that she would eventually be moved to an orphanage.
She eventually found herself shipped off to the mainland of Honshu not long after; and ended up transferring schools in the process while she was moved to one of the larger halfway houses in Tokyo. While she was growing up, she’d ended up exposed to some of the wrong crowd; and during a time in her early teenage years she’d ended up getting tangled with some unsavory individuals. There was even an incident that she’d gotten involved in that had nearly ended up getting her in jail; and after having a long, hard talking-to with one of the counselors in the halfway house where she was staying; she then strived to turn her life around (her third turning point). But as it was, turning around from a delinquent life to one on the straight and narrow wasn’t easy…
Even if she’d already promised to keep to herself and throw herself into her studies gain; she’d still get tangled with the wrong crowd from time to time. It wasn’t until she hit sixteen that the next turning point took place—she was eventually adopted by a middle-aged, wealthy family that couldn’t have children. Now that she’s living with her foster parents (and her surname changed to Murakami) she’s still in the process of adjusting to her new life of sudden riches and glamour; the couple that had adopted her doted on her endlessly. Now that she’d been thrust into a life of seemingly endless luxury; she knew that she only had one thing to do: to repay the kindness that had been shown to her by giving back to them a college degree.
After the initial slips and stumbling, she’d managed to graduate from high school and sat her entrance exams; having applied to several colleges and universities. What she didn’t tell her adoptive family was that she’d applied for Todai (Tokyo University); the surprise eventually came in the mail as she’d received several acceptance letters from local colleges; but the letter from Todai she showed them with pride. Once she’d received their approval to go to one of the most prestigious schools in the country, she then enrolled and is now currently in her first year of a liberal arts course; majoring in a course that dealt with foreign languages.

Notes:
- She'd formerly gotten tangled with gangs and bullies in her youth; which had caused her to go down the wrong path several times.
- Despite her looks, she was able to get into Tokyo University (which is known for having the hardest entrance examinations in all of Japan).
- Is a member of the martial arts circle and an apprentice in the kendo club at Todai.
- Despite her lightweight frame, she's a very voracious eater.
- Can speak Japanese fluently, but is still stumbling in English and French (her linguistic focuses at Todai).
- She'd gotten her tattoo on a dare from several of her gang members back when she was still living the 'bad' life.
