Howdy, Neighbor (Open to two, party of three)

Eliza didn't remember this place from when she was first looking for places to understand her powers. She was sure the only places that seemed relatively safe were the museum and the park, but she did understand that she could be mistaken. After all, she had just found out she had the power to summon an angel. That seemed like a reasonable excuse for missing some things.

The neighborhood felt more like the museum than the park, she noticed. I wonder if that means I'll find more of those masked monsters, she thought. Then she thought about how there could be a dinosaur wandering around, and she quite visibly shuddered. The thought of a fight like that was scarier than when she first met Virtue. She only hoped she would be more prepared for it next time.

Tonight, Lucretia decided to explore the other area with weaker creatures she hadn't been to.  She still intended to investigate the supermarket a few more times, but she was still a little disappointed with how little she found there.  There didn't appear to be that many differences between the market in the normal world in the market in the midnight world.  It was a little unsettling to see this many coffins around, but it did make sense.  If each of those were just a person sleeping, then of course there would be more in the neighborhood.  Most people were asleep at this time after all.

[Yumina Makino]

Yumina had to pass through this creepy version of Shibuya eventually, so she might as well prepare ahead of time. Her high school should be around here, and it would be nice to know if the place was secretly infested with monsters. There's probably a ton, but assuming things like that was wrong. Usually.

Of course it'd be a challenge to get over there in the first place. That's why Yumina was practicing moving through a similar area. So far she managed to sneak by a couple of Shadow things, but that couldn't last. She's just delaying the inevitable fight. Well, if there did need to be a battle, it can wait until somebody else is near--

Oh. There's two people right there. Humans even. Okay, maybe now would be a good time to get in trouble. Now she had backup for when this went bad.

There were two humans this time, and while that was unusual, the fact that she hadn't met one of them was.  She was used to running into people, but new people was a different thing entirely.  She scanned the enemies first, and read out their abilities, but once she finished that she opted to scan the new girl before fighting the creatures.  None of the people here were fighters per-say, but these enemies were weak enough that it should be fine.

Two of them had attacks that wouldn't hurt her very much.  Those would be her targets.  One of them appeared to be a small tank, which was strange to her.  Most of the creatures she had seen in the midnight world were more like animals, not like machines.  Regardless, dealing with machines was her specialty.  If it worked the same way then it would go down easily.  She reached into her pockets and pulled out some broken computer parts and some wires.  This would do nicely.

Lucretia let the turret attack once.  A large bolt of lighting shot out of the cannon and hit her squarely on the head.  It didn't hurt in the slightest as expected.  She had already done some experiments with this, so she had nothing to fear.  She circled around the turret, causing the turret part to spin with her as she got closer and closer.  Once the turret was in the location she wanted it to be, she jammed some of the broken computer parts into it to hold the turret in place.  It must have expected to spin a bit more, because when it fired its physical attack it hit the healer twins instead.  If she could just lure the shadows into the right places, then this would be an easy fight and they'd just have to focus their firepower on a useless tank at the end.

Eliza turned to see the Italian girl and a new girl approach. She smiled at them, then heard a group of the creatures. She watched as the Italian girl sabotaged a tank-thing and had it attack the two people-like things that were attached to each other. Eliza summoned Virtue, who boosted the attack and defense of the humans. With a determined smile, the girl jumped at the closest enemy, which was a bird creature.

Eliza swung down with her sledgehammer, catching the bird thing directly in the back and bringing it to the ground. She then planted the hammer firmly in the center of the thing's back and watched as it disappeared. She then ran at the next thing, a slime thing that reminded her of the night she met Virtue.

The slime attacked with a freezing spell that caused ice to form on the edges of her clothing. Enraged by this, Eliza sprang towards the slime. She drove the head of the hammer into its mask, shattering it. She then healed herself, and turned to make sure that the new girl wasn't in need of help. I probably should have introduced myself, Eliza thought glumly. Not that I had much of a chance to.

[Yumina Makino]

Good to see that nobody around here wasted time. Bad guys show up and everything kicks off right away. One girl managed to get one dude to hit someone on his side. That seemed a lot more reliable than the similar spell that almost never worked. The thing that got hit turned to see what was going on, which gave Yumina her opening.

"Oberon." The persona lunged at the twins. Of course the spell didn't work. That would be asking for too much. It did succeed drawing some of the monster attention away from the others temporarily. Yumina hurried closer to her target. "Again."

The second attempt at provoking the shadow seemed to of worked, as its movements became more erratic and agitated. Now she stood close enough to plunge her knife straight into it. The thing started to scream, before spinning around quickly and striking Yumina's shoulder hard enough to knock her back a step. As much as the pain hurt, she did her best job of hiding it. Not in front of the others. Screaing can wait until they leave. Moving her weapon to the not-bleeding side, she attacked again for the last time.
