An Arrow Into Darkness [Open] [Up to three]

The 'dark' park was very strange. Everything seemed overgrown and deserted. The air was rank and heavy with moisture and a smell like mildew and rotting meat. It was very quiet but not in a good way, either.

Kate had slung her bow over her shoulder. The quiver rattled with arrows as she walked, hands stuffed in her jeans' pockets. She was cold, even though the season wasn't supposed to be cold. She had no idea why but it didn't really surprise her that the weather of this weird 'dark' version of the world was colder and nastier.

"This is like a bloody video game. Except it's real and not fun. Christ, what am I even doing out here?"

Well, really, if it hadn't been for that strange woman that she appeared to be able to summon, that warm feeling in her chest and the strange, relieving sweetness in her mouth that beat back the sick taste of the air, she wouldn't have come out here. But she kinda had to investigate. And it beat staying home and staring at a white page she didn't know what to do with.

Eliza needed to fight against something simple after her ordeal with the dinosaur. Something simple was a relative term, she realized, but still. She could fight against a walking cow and she would still breath a sigh of relief.

She was walking in the park, waiting for some of the monstrous things to appear, when she heard a woman's voice nearby. Eliza didn't recognize the voice, so she went to investigate. She approached the woman slowly, trying her hardest to not seem like a threat. "Hello," she said softly. "I'm Elizabeth. Who are you?" As she was talking, she made a point of keeping an eye out for anyone else or some monsters.

Lucretia didn't intend to spend much time in the park today.  She just knew it was a relatively safe place, and it was on the way to the next location she wanted to check out.  Rather than find a portal in that location and find herself in an unknown position where she wouldn't be able to predict where the enemies were until she got there, she just decided to go to the park instead and walk to the other location if it was possible.  That way, she would know where the more dangerous enemies were at all times and could move accordingly.

Running into other people was becoming a common occurrence, but running into new people was a little less common.  There were some creatures nearby, but they were pretty weak, and it'd be a second before they got here.  She opted to scan the new person real quick before they did so, and once that was done, she simply approached and waved as to not cause too much surprise.

Lucretia was just passing by, so there was no reason for her to exert herself too much.  The enemies weren't very strong, one of them was more offensive-based, it should be fine.  So, she took a few steps back and scanned all the enemies, informing her allies of their abilities in their heads.  These creatures were likely sentient, so talking out loud was a little riskier. Not much, but a little.  Beyond that, she intended to just watch.  She didn't plan to attack, she didn't plan to heal, she was just going to observe their abilities unless they got into trouble.  If they did get into trouble, well then she supposed she could heal them and take out one of the enemies with whatever she happened to find in her pockets today.

Kate was a bit surprised to find someone else roaming in the 'dark' park but she was also quite relieved. She wasn't the only person left alive, after all! That was good, real good. There were other people who were left. It made her wonder, were they in the same position she was? With... summons?

The pink-haired girl carried a sledgehammer with her, which Kate found appropriate - she was carrying a bow and arrows, after all.

"Hi," she said kindly. "I'm Kate. Glad to see there are others left. Do you know what's--"

Her question was interrupted by the arrival of some creatures. Kate heard the shriek of something around them. They didn't look quite like the creature that had attacked her the first night she experienced this but they were coming towards them in a decidedly menacing manner. A monster horse, a horse-man and a... fairy? How peculiar.

"Watch out," she said calmly and immediately nocked an arrow to her bow and drew the string. She held the bow level and watched the creatures, getting her aim in and waiting for the optimal moment to let loose her arrow.

Wait for it... there!

She fired the arrow straight at the monstrous horse and it flew off the string with a sharp hiss, whistling through the air. She did not wait, she drew and nocked another arrow, preparing a second shot, depending on whether her first shot had an effect. If not... she'd call on her partner.

"It's a pleasure, Kate," Eliza said, taking note of the new arrivals. One of them was the Italian girl from the museum. The other three, though, were ever so slightly less human. As soon as they arrived, Eliza summoned Virtue. She felt that something new had occurred within the Persona, so she decided to test it out on herself. The angel cast a warm light upon her, but it felt different than the other lights. For instance, one light healed while the other toughened skin. This one made her feel... Stronger, somehow. Almost like it affected her muscles in some way, but she couldn't find the words to explain it to herself. Still, she had no doubt that her attacks would pack more of a punch, so to speak. She finished buffing herself, then charged into battle.

Eliza had no doubt of her ability to hit the larger two creatures. However, as she moved to attack the horse-thing, she wondered if she would be able to hit the fairy. She was surprised, though, as her sledgehammer hit the horse with such strength that it tore through. The fact that she defeated the monster so easily was astonishing, if just a little disgusting in the way it was done. She then turned to the fairy, which was in between her and the satyr-thing. Eliza extended her grip on the hammer and performed and overhead swing that was apparently too fast for the fairy to dodge. Eliza didn't want to think about the splattering noise, and she was luckily distracted from it.

The satyr thing closed the distance between the two, slamming into the girl with a fair amount of force. However, Eliza nullified any damage done with a quick healing spell. She spun around quickly, creating momentum for a swing that impacted with the thing's face.

Unfortunately for the girl, there was no distraction from that splatter.
