“Oh come on!” The redhead groaned loudly in frustration, holding her hands in the air. Had she forgotten to send a quick prayer to whichever deity that blessed her with the luck she had in the other big fight, so it was punishing her now? That punch was spot on, and she knew it should’ve dealt a heck of a lot more damage than it looked like it did. Puffing her cheeks out in frustration, she was at least glad to see their crazy plan worked. Kind of. A little bit.
Sure it was down on the floor now, but that didn’t stop it from now rolling around to cause even more destruction. And even more fire. Her attempts to escape were again for nothing, and the fire made her nauseous with the pain. Thankful for the heal that washed over her again, she smiled to the girl, “Thanks, Luke. I appreciate it.” She didn’t think twice about the impromptu nickname, focused a bit more on the fallen T-rex than anything. The heals helped tremendously, thankfully, but she still hurt a bit. All thanks to that damned fire.
At least her fists hurt it quite a bit. She certainly couldn’t be mad at that. Avoiding it’s very sharp looking teeth, Anne jumped in close to it’s neck. After two quick straight jabs and one last hard curved one, she jumped back again to avoid the possibility of it turning and snapping at her. Cracking her knuckles a little, she slowly backed away a little more as she cautiously watched the ceiling. The thought of more flaming wreckage certainly didn’t sound fun.

Eliza took note of the perv's thankfulness and started paying a bit more attention to her teammates. For instance, the woman in the group seemed to take more damage than everyone else. Considering how she was also dealing damage to the dinosaur, it would probably be best if Eliza were to decrease the pain she was receiving. She summoned Virtue, who imbued the woman with light. There, she won't hurt as much now, Eliza thought to herself. But do I boost up the girl and myself? Or do I spot healing?

She decided to defer to how the others in the group felt. "Hey, girl," she said to the Italian girl. "Would you prefer it if I were to make your skin stronger, or assist you in healing? Before you make your choice, though, you should know that I can only heal one person at a time." Eliza thought about what she said before speaking again. "Actually, that question goes to everyone. Should I make the healer stronger or help in the task?"

The rubble was annoying. With a series of “Ow-ow-ow”, the man reflexively commented before blinking. What were they fighting, exactly? A T-rex, or an oversized dog in the shape of a dinosaur? He'd never seen anything quite roll around like that. His thought were immediately disrupted when the flaming debris smacked down on his head, setting his cap on fire. With a shriek, he took his cap off, curly brown locks bouncing out like a quick-blooming flower. Smacking the cap against the knee of his pants, he growled, taking in the damage. Fortunately, no major damage! He reacted quickly enough. With a relieved sigh, he planted his cap back up top his head. Coincidentally, he also got healed. His morale increased. As did his anger that his hat was endangered.

”Zouchouten! One-two, beat him!” While his Persona charged in to offer the dinosaur a jawbreaker, Riki turned his attention to the one asking questions. ”Whatever works is fine! I can take a beating. I don't like the fire, though, so I'll scream for help if I need any extra healing, thanks!” Honestly, it was mainly because he did resist the blunt trauma that he could calmly dismiss any extra care on his part. He didn't exactly like pain. He wasn't a masochist in that sense. It was perfectly okay when his girlfriend stepped on him, though.

It's strange how the only harmful thing coming after them in this battle was the building and not the monster frolicking about in said building. It was actually kind of funny from his point of perspective, seeing the Rexy roll around on the floor like a mere puppy waiting for someone to rub his belly. He guessed that it could be similar to that, but the uncertainty came from both the Rex's size and the sole issue of it being a skeleton entrapped inside of a Rex-like purple shell.

Yuuki was struck quite abruptly by falling roof pieces, some of which were on fire, and all of them being larger than the ones from before. God knew when they'd be crushed by the entire ceiling if this kept up. However, one of the Americans crippled the Dinosaur, preventing it from making any major attacks.

The scanning girl healed them all, but he still had no time to place any effort into saying 'thank you'. The other familiar face asked a question aloud, to which he replied with: "At this point, you should do what you must." They weren't in dire peril to the point where a specific action was necessary.

Carefully sweeping a hand over his dusty head, clearing it of rubble and debris, he pointed at the Shadow. The Black Knight leaped upward from in front of him and pulled back its left arm. At just the right moment, he then drove his straightened claws into the part of the leg with a thin-enough layer to hopefully inhibit its walking... should it stand up. Let's hope not.

The Rex was not amused.

These humans couldn't even coordinate where they should be attacking! He took a few more attacks, but once again nulled any critical additions to damage. The shadowy skeleton was still laying on the floor, his tail swaying slightly back and forth.

Then, without warning, the Rex pressed its legs against the floor and propelled itself like a train! Its diamond-hard skull smashed into Fred for Moderate Strike, with various loose objects being shot upwards towards everyone else dealing Minor Strike damage. Fred is also Confused now.

Finally, the Rex stopped as its skull hit the back wall. It backed off a bit as a result, but it didn't feel very well. . .

Shadow Rex expels a miasma from its mouth dealing Moderate Dark damage to everyone! Elizabeth, Ariane, and Lucretia are poisoned!

The Rex seems to be groaning in discomfort!

Not knowing what was coming was more disconcerting than Lucretia expected it to be.  Normally, when she went into battle, she knew everything about the enemy right from the beginning so she could prepare for everything it would do.  This creature was much more difficult to analyze, and she had been rather busy keeping everyone alive from its attacks, so there was no time to try again.  Thus, when the creature completely switched tactics, it left her very surprised and perhaps a little shaken.

She cringed when the T-rex slammed its head into the very strange singer.  She knew he resisted those kinds of attacks, so it would be like being set on fire or putting a fork in an electrical outlet for her.  It wouldn't affect him nearly as much as it looked.  Lucretia kept telling herself that as she thought of what to do.  Healing would be the obvious thing, but there was something else happening too.  He didn't look quite himself.  In fact, it looked like he might hurt himself in that state.  To make matters worse, the creature let out another powerful attack, much stronger than what they'd faced so far, that left her feeling nauseous.  It looked like she wasn't the only one either.  It was very difficult to focus like this.

Lucretia knew she could fix their altered states, but doing so meant that she couldn't heal them before the dinosaur attacked again.  If it continued attacking like this, there was no way she would be able to keep up.  It would leave everyone here in serious trouble.  However, if these conditions were left untreated, it could also cause serious problems.  Not to mention it was impossible to think like this.  One of the other users was capable of healing, but she couldn't heal everyone.  No one was weak to the damage the falling debris would cause, and no one was weak to the dark, poisonous cloud either.  One person was even strong against it.  However, that still left four users that would be in bad shape if they weren't healed, and the other healer would not be able to handle all of them.  

So what was she even supposed to do in this situation?  Did she gamble on their altered states, or did she gamble on the creature's attacks?  Lucretia hated the fact that she had to gamble at all, that she had to guess.  It was irritating!  It looked like it was severely injured.  If she made sure the confused one could attack it then maybe they could finish it off before it attacked again.  However, if they couldn't, it may use an even more powerful attack out of desperation.  Such things weren't that uncommon in humans at least, and while these creatures were significantly less intelligent, it was a common instinct in animals as well.  She adjusted her glasses a bit shakily and called out to everyone in their minds again.

"First...My name is Lucretia, not Luke.  As for you," she mentally indicated the other healer.  "Heal for now.  If I get a chance to not heal, I can cure this poison and...whatever is wrong with him," she mentally indicated Riki.

In the end, she couldn't gamble on peoples' lives and it seemed like the raw attack power of the creature was going to be more of a threat than the poison or confusion.  For now, she would heal.  Hopefully she would get a chance to fix everything else soon.

Receiving what felt like a speed train of pain, or half of it, Frederick flopped and wriggled like a fish on the ground, even with the surge of poisonous blackness coming from the enemy. Doing what could only be considered “the worm” to end all worms, the large man flopped about. Clearly, something was wrong with him. Fortunately, however, he felt right enough to do the right thing. Responding to some form of unspoken order- perhaps just Riki's innermost desires- Zouchouten flew at the Skelerex and launched another punch. It was better than nothing, admittedly. Certainly better than what its master was doing.

”We all live in a yellow submarine. A yellow submarine, yellow submarine. We all live in a yellow submarine.” It was pretty clear something was wrong. If the worm and flopping didn't give it away.

Eliza watched as the dinosaur slammed into the perv, and she watched as the perv fell to the ground and started flopping around like a dying tuna. She didn't know what was wrong with him, but she felt that she couldn't help him. She couldn't even help herself, and after the darkness she felt nauseous. She knew it was related somehow, but that knowledge didn't do anything for her.

Virtue appeared and coated the healer girl in the strengthening light. Nothing else, the girl might be able to keep everyone alive long enough that they could kill the dead dino. She only hoped that the monster was finished off soon. With everyone's condition, they may not last long enough.

Whoops, it finally stood up. It wasn't surprising that something with such legs would be able to just up and charge at such a force, hitting the guy who is now singing an old 60's class while doing the worm. Probably got slammed in the head too hard, he guessed. He hoped. Americans were funny sometimes, or they were obnoxious. Interesting people, in summary. The former pianist watched the man do the thing with the flopping on the floor before he was decked in the face by a stray panting. He balanced himself out by holding out one foot, and because of this, he didn't fall.

Then, the miasma set in, blowing right in front of him. He shielded his face from the darkness, and felt a slight pain. However, as he made quick glances between the others, he noticed that it should have affected him more than it did. An eye gazed upon his darkened Persona, standing as still and justly as a knight could ever stand. Either way, with the healing coming in, he still felt alright... ish. He sighed and swept his numb hand in front of him. The Persona obliged to the wordless command and made another jump-stabbing motion towards the creature's back, like it was going to ride it.

On the list of things she had expected to see today, a train-o-saurus rex was certainly not on the list.  Nor was her impromptu teammate breaking into song and dance.  Then again, considering all of the crazy shit she had seen since this all started, she really shouldn't have been all that surprised by this point.  Really it was just more weird piled on to the nonsense shitstorm her life had become.  Ariane had a feeling she'd begin to start taking this in stride soon enough, surely.  

As distracted as she was for the moment, it wasn't until a chuck of debris smacked her upside the head that she realized the lizard wasn't done yet.  She silently cursed at herself for her lack of attention, considering had her luck been worse it could have meant far more than just a head wound.  After the Rex was done assaulting the other American, it went on to upchuck what seemed like pure darkness at the rest of them.  

That certainly hit a lot harder than whatever it was that smacked her before.  Coupled with the fact that her defenses were still a lot weaker than they should be, Anne was definitely hurting.  At the very least there wasn't any fire this time around, and they thankfully had a healer, too.  Her heals may not have been as strong as Akira's were against the big oafs, at least if kept them standing.  Anne flushed when the girl chastised her for the nickname, glancing over to her.  She mumbled out a response, "My bad, sorry,"  As she spoke, Ariane realized something was wrong.  Something from the last attack the Dino did still made her feel sick to her stomach, and she found herself still hurting from it.

Whatever it was definitely wasn't good.  They needed to try and get rid of the reanimated carcass, and fast.  Trying to ignore the leeching pain, she dashed in, punching the same spot that she had hit before.  Her muscles had tensed up again from the spell Cery had cast at the beginning of the battle, but even with her ring helping her land better attacks she had given up hope on it.  Whenever she landed a good attack, it just seemed to do what it would normally anyway.  All she could hope for was dealing a good bit of damage the old fashioned way.  Once her attacks had landed, she moved back out of the way, not wanting to chance being the next focus of the big guy's main attack.

Squirming around, the Shadow Rex Slowly got himself up while sustaining fire from the humans. He wasn't really feeling to hot right about now. Letting out a roar as he got up, everyone's attack, defense, and speed fell!

With his sights aimed on all of them, the Rex began to dig some traction for his foot. It seems that it was getting ready to charge!

It didn't attack.  Lucretia mentally cursed at herself for picking the wrong option.  The worst part was, they were still in the same situation as they were before.  It was likely going to let out a powerful attack, one of them was flopping around on the floor and it was a miracle he didn't hit himself, three of them were poisoned, they were weaker than before and there was no way to fix it, they were hurting somewhat (though not quite as bad as before), and here she was needing to decide to cure these ailments or healing everyone.

So, the real question was how much more pain could everyone take?  The flopping man resisted most of the damage done last attack if her memory served.  So, he only had to worry about the darkness attack.  The other man resisted darkness, so he only had to worry about the debris.  All things considered, he was probably in good shape.  Lucretia herself was hurt pretty badly by all the attacks, but many of the attacks before then barely hurt at all.  She considered herself mostly fine.  It was only the other two that she had to worry about.  It was a bit of a risk, but this would at least minimize the damage for now.

"I am going to fix this sickness.  You," she mentally indicated the other healer, "can decide if healing or fixing defenses is better."

Eliza felt the dinosaur's roar drain her of all her strength. Given how she had already felt sick, she couldn't help but start dry-heaving. Luckily, before her stomach started rejecting actual acid, the Italian girl managed to make her feel better. She still felt shaky, but Eliza was feeling much better. She looked around at the battlefield. The odds were that the next attack was blunt force or darkness. Both of the boys seemed strong to one of those, respectfully. However, the woman had been taking extra damage the entire time.

Eliza summoned Virtue, who healed the woman. "Hurry up and kill the thing!" Eliza yelled at the other three. "If that attack hits us, we're screwed!"

”We all live in- bwugawusa?!” Maybe it was the fact that he had the taste of floor in his mouth. Maybe it was the fact he caught himself singing something goofy in front of others- the first song did not count as goofy, it was one hundred percent necessary. Maybe it was just that he didn't like being on the floor. Whatever the case, Frederick, with surprising ease, shoved off the floor and onto his feet, despite his size. He did, however, stumble back while spitting to the side with a rather well-defined “pftew” sound a few times. He then took the inside of his shirt's collar and wiped his tongue on it. Even his sweat was preferable to floor when it came to taste. Still shuddering, he offered a thumbs up to the support, both as thanks and to show he was fine.

”Zouchouten, let's go, go, go!” Despite his words suggesting both of them would attack, Riki lightly kicked upwards on the handle of his ax to knock it up to his hand. Seemed he lost it while flopping like a fish. While he gripped it and let the upper-end of the shaft rest on his shoulder, Zouchouten flew in for another punch!

The fact that the Rex didn’t attack this time was nice, sure, but damn if it wasn’t really foreboding too. Added to the fact the load roar made her whole body feel weaker. For a moment her head began to spin from the Miasma, but just as quickly it did a warm feeling washed over her. Just like that, her nauseousness was gone. Inhaling, she nodded over to Lucretia, “Much appreciated, thank you.”



While she didn’t get hit again, the fire had still done a number on her. Thankfully Lucretia wasn’t the only one able to toss them some heals, and Anne was suddenly left feeling almost like new. Smiling to the pink haired girl, Ariane nodded. “Thanks for the heals. We’ll see about what we can do to take the thing out.” Turning back to the reptile, Anne dashed in and aimed three hard straight punches at the closest, most painful looking areas she could reach. Even though she couldn’t land a more powerful than normal hit, she still knew she could hit pretty dang well.
