"What the..." Amane looked around the bizarre place and it wasn't that world that occurs at midnight. For one, it was beyond a portal of sorts. For two, the plant life here was just bizarre and giving out a much different atmosphere. She clutched her shinai with both hands and slowly started to walk on forward. She was going to have to explore this place to gauge what is going on in Tokyo anyway. She then nearly shrieked as she heard something move. Amane turned around with her shinai raised and ready to bat whatever is trying to move toward her if it turned out to be something other than human. She hoped to the gods it wasn't the plants.

So there was magical midnight miscreants on one corner, then “Thinking with Portals” bullshit popping up all over the place. Right. Apocalypse precursor confirmed. The World was reaching its series conclusion. And holy shit, he did just walk into a damn RPG. Fairies and elves and pixies and other “I can has magic, please” assholes were around. Why not guns? And melee? Honestly, he half-wondered why he was chosen- was that how it worked? Get chosen by a god and thrust into some bullshit game between the god and a devil?- over other people. He was pretty cool, sure, but he wasn't some warrior, nor was he a saint. He was just some dude that liked food. And preparing food. And axes. And his waifu. And his girlfriend.

Pushing his way through various bushes, the man broke free and half-tripped forward with a “Woa-ho-ho” as he steadied himself. Brushing himself off, he looked to one side. Nothing. He looked to the other side. A kid. A girl. Well, hell. Was he the only boy out there, or what? Not that that was a terrible th- yeah, it kind of was. He wasn't the sort to get harem ideas. Especially not with what seemed to be a kid in school. Ah, wait. Japanese girls were pretty short over all. He'd better not call her a kid. It'd be hell if she were actually older than him.

”Yo~!” He raised a hand in greeting, trying to sound energetic. ”Pretty warm out, huh?” Accompanied by some awkward laughter, the man put out a general, and sad, conversation starter. Could the world just go save itself and let him get back to his sandwich-making?

Elizabeth had decided that, after exploring the museum a little and the conversation she had with the limping man, she would probably be better exploring the place behind the weird mirror-portal. When she stepped through it, though, she found something completely unexpected. The park as, in essence, still there. It was extremely overgrown now, though. Suddenly, she heard a man's voice calling out.

She approached the voice, taking cover behind the trees in case it wasn't a human voice. What she saw was an overweight man talking to a girl who wasn't too far from Eliza's age. Although she didn't want to make assumptions, she was certainly getting a weird, pervy vibe from what she was seeing. Perhaps it would be best to see and make sure before you make accusations, she told herself. Wait and see. She could do that.

Eliza heard a group of creatures approaching as she watched the other two humans. So much for wait and see, she said internally as she sighed. She stepped out from behind her cover and placed the humans in between herself and the monsters. Without a word of explanation, mostly because she thought it would be unnecessary, she summoned Virtue, who coated everyone in a warm light. Suddenly, Eliza could feel her skin toughen and she knew the other two would be experiencing it as well.

It was just in time, too. As soon as the angel faded away, four creatures emerged from the wood. Eliza didn't know why, but they looked nothing like the creatures that she had dealt with before. Just what the hell is going on here?

Then another girl appeared. Summoned one of those things. Did some voodoo barbeque magic. Frederick blinked as he felt himself become a little more resilient. Well, that was certainly nice. He could appreciate that. Especially with the bunch of things that appeared. If the girl was spewing out support though, there was a pretty good chance she wasn't going to contribute too much to the fight itself. That seemed to be how that thing worked in RPGs, right? Well, either way, a bunch of things had appeared. Small things, feminine things, threatening things, and ugly things. Right. He'd open up with the ugly one.

”Well, I'd prefer normal weather, myself.” He half-responded to his earlier observation before charging forward with the Spriggan in mind. But he tripped. With a very inelegant “Bwuh?!” he fell down in front of the Spriggan as it tried to punch. The demon had no resistance, and, as a result, it started to flail forward. Into the crossfire of spells from each of the other three monsters. Riki managed to get on his back, ready to swat like a bitch to defend himself, but the tempest of fire and wind seemed to fry the Spriggan enough that it fell on top of the man. With a howl of pain- the thing was hot, after all- and displeasure, Riki grunted and struggled until he was on his feet, coincidentally with the Spriggan hefted over his head. With a growl, he lobbed the ugly bastard over at the small imp-goblin thing. He was pretty sure, had this been a platformer, he would've gotten 200 points for that. Sadly, the ugly thing wasn't dead. It, uh, looked like the other one might've been out for the count, though.

”That's one.” He grunted with a pant before half-hopping forward with a blast of wind at his back. Seemed the feminine one, the one in the dress, decided to sling a spell at him. Well, that just wasn't very nice. Waltzing over to his discarded ax, he picked the weapon up. Zouchouten appeared as the man threw the battle ax like a tomahawk, seemingly not hesitant at all despite the monster's womanly figure. There was a good reason for that, too. It-wasn't-human. He rushed in, gripped the handle, and let Zouchouten slam his fist into the thing's face to push it off. His ax was free, the bitch was stunned, and he had a moment to replicate a scene from an old game that was a bastard-fusion of genres. The Dryad pushed itself up while Riki planted his feet down and twirled.

”Deeee~cap-it-a-tiooooo~n!” He half-announced, half-cheered as he cleaved the fairy-thing's head off. Then, using his ax as a fake guitar, he strummed imaginary notes before letting out a pleasant sigh. Not bad. He squished one with that ugly thing, took another one's head, and the big thing was weakened by the spell crossfire. Surely the girl could handle the rest? Well, he'd help if needed. That was after his rocking solo.

Amane sighed in relief to see it was of a human. She lowered her cheap shinai. Not the ideal company but it was better than on one else. Though something was...off putting about him. When he opened his mouth it just confirmed it.

”Yo~!” Amane waved back. ”Pretty warm out, huh?” She felt her grip on her shinai returning. Suddenly Amane turned over to see a group of what Amane could only describe as fairies. It was then she shuddered and turned around to see a third person present. She didn't have the time to complain.

The man charged forward toward the green muscular looking one. It was then Amane realized...this town is filled with scary people. First the guy that carried around a gun and now this person. Maybe she should move to another part of Japan. He proved himself two things in the exchange of blows between him some of the fairies...one, he too had the power that Amane herself had albeit it functioned more...forwardly. The second was that he should watch less action movies. 

Amane snapped back in reality just in time to bat a Goblin away from her with her shinai. It seemed that they weren't going to be staying still. Her eyes glowed as Silky appeared above her. With a wave of her arm, a shard of ice shot into the goblin...Amane kept on her guard, at this point, there was now only one left.
