Name: Frederick “Riki” Cooper
Age: Twenty-two
Date of Birth: December 21
Birthplace: Houston, Texas, America; lives around Akihabara recently
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Itaru Hashida/Daru – Stein's Gate
Appearance:
Height: Six feet, one inch
Distinguishing Features: Most would assume his overall bulk is fat and flab, but Riki has a bit of muscle distributed over his body. He's a lot “Harder” than he looks, so to speak.
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: The Justice
Occupation: Part-time college student studying whatever interests him, part-time manager and cook at a cafe
Starting Equipment: Riki had purchased a replica battle ax way back when because it looked cool. Conveniently, he's managed to sharpen the blade to the point that it's actually a legitimate Level 1 Slash Weapon.
Personality:
Riki's a pretty simple individual. He likes what he likes, dislikes what he dislikes. Unafraid of conflict, but annoyed with tedium, he's not against standing up for himself or others, but tends to let the lesser things go by unrestricted, if only because it's annoying to deal with them constantly. Make no mistake, Riki's not a saint or anything despite the kind actions he's capable of. He's very much firmly grounded into the realm of man, with all the faults of them. He'll gladly tell a lie if it means making the day a little easier. He'll slack off when there's no reason to work hard. He's more a mortal than a saint.
Frederick's the sort to go all out for what he likes. He greatly enjoys cooking, especially making sandwiches, and may the gods have mercy on your soul if you manage to utter some unenlightened nonsense regarding sandwiches near him. Like a vehement cultist spreading his twisted doctrine, he'll spew more information and details on the “ideal” sandwich than one would ever care to hear. Of course, it's not limited to just sandwiches, but it's the one that comes up the most. Don't even get him started on “classics”.
That said, he's a pretty faithful friend once he gets to that point. He's also a faithful partner when it comes to relationships. At least, physically. He'll gladly “cheat” on his girlfriend for some digital babes. After all, they're fictional. Unlike others, he's observed, he has a firm grasp on what's real and what's not. Of course, on the occasions he's forced to help his friends? He's not some half-hearted asshole that doesn't deliver. If he says he'll do it, he'll, by God, do it. And do it well. A job worth doing is worth doing right, if only to not have to do it again.
While he can be- and is- lazy, Frederick does have a firm work ethic, as could be gathered from above. If he enjoys or feels truly obligated to do something, he'll definitely do it and put his all into it. This does, however, extend from a sense of dignity and laziness combined. He doesn't want to do it over to get it right. Furthermore, he doesn't want to do a shoddy job on something he does want to do. It's a vicious cycle of “improvement”. Regardless of whether or not he likes it.
He doesn't try to make himself look good in front of others. Honestly, if he tries to give off any image, it's one that he's inapproachable and unsociable. It's not that he hates humans, even if he's aware that they're pretty nasty. He just doesn't like people half-heartedly getting involved with him. He's a man of many likes and little time. He likes giving friends the appropriate amount of time. Having an excess of uninterested, unwilling, and generally not-actually-friendly friends to deal with isn't going to help his schedule.
So, to sum him up, Riki is a nice enough person in general. He's just not your orthodox individual. He's got his opinions, his faults, and his goals, but he's not a person without his redeeming traits. Of course, he doesn't make those readily apparent. Only those that are willing to go the extra mile with him will find the inner teddy bear.

History:
Riki was born in America. In Houston, Texas, even. His birth, however, signified the death of his mother. Particularly harsh birthing and all that. For a while, all was fine. However, shortly after the boy turned eight, his father got an idea to get rich quick. That inspiration led to them moving to Japan. Two years later, success came, and the father was rolling in the dough. Frederick was still getting used to the new place. A good chunk of it was the language and culture gap. Still, he was a strong boy. He managed.
Getting through school, the boy didn't make too many friends. It wasn't like he was really trying, though. After a certain point, he'd gotten especially focused on the 2D and his culinary projects. The Japanese supposedly placed high values of teamwork and getting along with each other, but he found that several were particularly disgusting towards him because he was a little larger than the average male. Well, they learned the mistake of trying to get physical with him. It caused a few small issues with the disciplinary committee at his school, but, after a while, people learned to not pick fights with him.
After graduation, his father tried to teach him about business, wanting to prep him to become an heir. Riki wasn't interested. Even if he was, he quickly showed that he didn't have the traits of a good business owner. However, when his father instead tried to put him in a management position of a small cafe, designed around the young man's culinary desires, he found a way to at least ensure that his son learned about good business practices. Even if he might have still refused to inherit the business, Riki would benefit from the knowledge, his father felt.
Fast forward to the present, and Riki had accomplished a few things. Kept his little cafe afloat with few issues, got into college and took random classes that peaked his interest, got a girlfriend, and, oh, he got some freaky magic voodoo bullshit. Let's cover that bit.
One night, when he decided to keep his cafe open a bit later, the youth was still cleaning up around midnight. When the lights went out, people outside became coffins, and the sky turned green? Well, Riki knew some shit had gone down. It was shortly after that that the wall found himself staring at a bulky minotaur-looking monster. And it was wearing a mask. Yeah, that totally hid what it was. Either way, after a brutal engagement, Riki awakened to the voodoo magic known as Zouchouten, his inner badass. Or something. He didn't quite follow it. Whatever. It was some RPG bullshit.
OOC Name: Alice
Notes:
The cafe that Riki manages is known for two things in particular- a “homelike” feeling unlike “service-oriented” cafes in the near vicinity, and extremely high-quality, good-tasting, but cheap food.
Most of the spare money made by the cafe goes into Riki's experimentation and research into creating the ultimate sandwich.
Sandwiches.
That is all.
