Sensory Training [OPEN, party of 2]

It was difficult to see in the park.  This made her sensory abilities all that more important.  If she could 'see' the shadows before they got anywhere nearby then she'd be that much more prepared to handle them.  She had a good handle on that already because she was so used to just avoiding them, but today she was going to see if she could attack a creature just before it attacked her.  If their attacks land at the same time, she failed.  If her attack lands even a second before the creature's then she wins.

So, rather than approach enemies, she just sat on a bench that was covered with grass and other plants, and waited for them to come to her.

[Ringo Shiro]

"Well...this is different." Ringo looked around the place that Lucretia refereed to as 'portal world.' The bizarre plant life and the general lack of people made for an unnerving atmosphere to say the least. He wasn't sure if he should even be near it since he saw it move about three times as he walked around here. Suffice to say, this was a different flavor of bad than the midnight world. He is going to have to wait and see if the supernatural abominations that target human life are any different. "Hm? Oh, hello." At least, Ringo looked over to see a familiar face.

[Lucretia Odovacar]

It was one of THOSE things again.  Lucretia frowned as she read off the thing's information to her fighting partner here, and just opted to back off this time.  Her damage output was already super low, there was really no point in trying to fight when they resisted her attacks like that.  She took cover behind the bench.  It wouldn't protect her from all the troll's attacks, but it would help a little.  She threw a few pot shots in there just to prevent herself from getting bored mostly.  This guy seemed competent enough fighting-wise last time they met, so she wasn't too worried.

[Ringo Shiro]

Ringo noticed Lucretia didn't even respond to his greeting. It was then Ringo looked around to see why. There was a troll. No mask, no slime, so what she said the last they encountered was more or less confirmed. Ringo drew his knife but he wasn't sure that was going to do much on something that could likely smash his bones with a swing of its arm. He eyed Lucretia getting behind the bench and let out a sigh of relief. At least she was safe.

The troll started to glow purple, which from what Ringo remembered from his various trips, meant the shadow was going to get hurt less. Ringo's eyes glowed and the blue figure appeared above him with his golden bow and arrow ready. It launched a shot that grazed the troll. It was then Ringo started to see that the wound slowly began to heal. The troll began to glow purple for a moment. 

"Rama!" The bow disappeared and Rama swung his arm. A burst of fire appeared in front of the troll and set it aflame. It seemed fire was pretty effective against it. A few more bursts of fire and the flames consumed more than the demon could regenerate. Ringo sighed in relief as he walked over to the bench. He bent down. "I'd say it's safe but you can detect these things can you?"
