”A week ago, quickly climbing to two weeks, yes. I'd imagine anybody could gain this power, within certain limitations, if they were thrust into sufficiently dangerous positions, but I'd prefer to not verify this theory. As for longer, well. There's no way to verify it yet, but, at the same time, I have a hunch that, if this isn't the end of the world, then it's probably not the first time it happened.” Rolling his head around on his shoulders, the youth let out a small grunt as he loosened his muscles. He'd feel much better once they got back topside. ”All I know, outside of the Evoker bits, is that the blonde woman resides in a glowing blue train station. I'd assume, if you followed the train line, that you'd find it whichever station she sits about in. It's mostly a chore to track it down, I'd imagine. Fortunately, Hayagriva can move pretty quickly if I'm opting for speed. So it shouldn't be too difficult.”
With that, the boy's voice trailed off. The return to their world was near. If he were to discard his first encounter with Luka inside that “Dark World”, she wasn't that bothersome. Outside of her lack of common decency. Seriously, only dogs- . . . only dogs sniffed around like that. The boy's brows furrowed slightly as he imagined the girl with the appropriate ears and tail. Honestly, that was a terrible thought. Fortunately, any references of her being a beast were entirely on his own part. There was no nonsensical “half-ling” race, or were-beings. After all, there was- . . . well, there was a degree of common sense implemented on their world, at least. Unfortunately, were-beings might have possibly existed on that side. Either way! Luka was a normal human. Just a sheltered one. That was all, he nodded to himself, mostly to ensure that he discarded any odd thoughts. When he caught her hesitant comment on working together in the future, a quiet laugh escaped him.
”Of course. Who else is going to keep you healed up out here?” He asked while shooting a casual, but warm glance over his shoulder. ”That's perfectly fine. You don't just needlessly rush in and endanger yourself. You have a zeal for battle, but you have the sense to not just up and die. You're an easy charge, so to speak. Just give me a call. Unless I'm busy, I should be willing.” And he wasn't lying. Truthfully, she was less of a headache than he imagined. She'd probably be fine on her own. That first night, he decided, was just a bad example for all parties. And, with that bit, the portal to their home was in sight. The boy sent a glance around one last time. Seemed all was clear. Hayagriva trotted right on into the clearing before slowly circling the portal. Nothing seemed to be in the surroundings, either. How very fortunate. He really did not want to risk finding out what happened when attacked while “shifting”.
”And it seems we've arrived without any trouble. Unexpected, but not unappreciated. I have to say, I'm a lucky man.” He gazed upwards slightly, his lips curling into a playful smile. ”I never thought I'd get to have a girl ride me this soon.” A quiet “huhu” escaped his lips, as if he were amused. Truthfully, he half-figured he dug his own grave. However, he knew he had a certain degree of, perhaps it should be called, “diplomatic immunity”. Then again, he also had a secondary shield. It was entirely possible that she wouldn't get it. Either way, he didn't wait.
”Do you need assistance getting off?” He tilted his head slightly as he looked over his shoulder. The phrasing? Entirely intentional.
