A Day at the Park [Party of two/Lucretia]

Taking the boys number and pocketing it, she nodded back to him.  He was gone before she could say much more though, so she decided she'd just drop a text later to introduce herself.  Turning to the girl, she nodded slightly.  "Thanks for the help, by the way... Lucretia, was it?  I'm Ariane, it's nice to meet you.  That's a really nifty ability, by the way, and can certainly come in handy I'm sure.  It never hurts to know the best way to punch your enemies faces in, after all." Ariane held out her hand to shake the girls, at least wanting to at least look like she had manners.

As they recuperated from that last fight, Ariane slowly repositioned herself so that her back was to a solid rock and leaned against it.  She certainly felt quite a bit stronger already, but she was still quite a bit winded from that fight, so before they got jumped again she wanted to make sure they were ready.  Anne didn't quite want to leave yet, not without a little more practice at least.  "If you wanted to hang around for a touch longer to practice that skill of yours," she said, emerald eyes glancing off into the jungle past her companion, "It looks as though we may be getting some more company soon."  Pushing back off the wall she rolled her shoulders.  It wasn't much, but at the very least she wasn't feeling like death.  Cery─that was─she felt stronger if just winded, and she was curious as to what that meant exactly.

Since there were other people here, there was no reason to not attempt to make use of their expertise as well.  Her skills were useful, but in the end, they didn't do much on their own, so building a team was going to be necessary at some point.  Right now, she might as well meet as many people as possible, and scan as many people as possible.  This girl here included.  Her scanning ability wasn't very overt, but at this range it would likely be noticed.

"Yes, it is nice to meet you too," she shook the other girl's hand.  "It is not as useful in small groups sadly.  Knowing what to hit does not help if there is no way to hit it," she didn't catch everything Ariane said because of some of the slang and informal speech, but she was pretty sure she caught the gist of it through context.  "I do not think practice is needed for this magic, but I will stay if you want to use yours.  There are enough creatures here that finding some should not be hard."

As expected, enemies arrived.  She wasn't sure why they attacked.  Did they have something against humans?  The ones here seemed more intelligent than the blobs, so maybe they'd be willing to talk sometime?  It didn't look like these ones were going to, even if it would be in their best interest.  They were total small fry, to the point that she was okay with standing back and watching the other girl handle it.  It would be a good test to see where she was at.  All Lucretia had to do was hide behind a nearby bench and read off their weaknesses as usual.  She started from the left and pointed at each creature individually and read off her results.

"Wind is weak against it, ice is strong.  Lightning is weak against it, fire is strong.  Light is weak against it, lightning is strong."

When the girl was listening, Anne could tell she was very focused on what she was saying─moreso than just someone who was interested in what she had to say.  After giving a half shrug to what Lucretia said she replied, "That's true enough, but if nothing else I'm sure it'll become easier to summon your Persona with practice, right?  Besides, as it stands, I'm not exactly sure how many of us there are to help like that."  She hesitated for a moment, pondering what she had assumed thus far about the other girls ease with the Japanese language before finally deciding to just go for it, "If it'd be easier for you, I don't mind switching to English if you're more comfortable with that.  It's my first language so it'd be no trouble.  Otherwise, sadly, as far as languages go that's about it for me.  Other than very basic, very broken French at any rate."

The creatures she saw were beginning to grow closer, so she figured the time for chit-chat was about over for now.  They just didn't know when to quit, huh?  With a swift movement she pulled her Evoker out of it's holster and held it to her temple before squeezing the trigger, the 'gun' almost back in it's holster again before the Cerynitian Hind had even fully materialized above her.  She was getting fast at that.

She felt her muscles limber up almost immediately, as though she could start doing damn back flips at a moments notice if she wanted.  While the extra information didn't help her chose which attacks to use, at the very least it helped decide which ones not to.  "No Hama.  Gotcha.  Cery, skewer the balloon one first."  As the masked woman threw her blade, Ariane dashed in, using her new found agility to turn out of the way of the green creep as it brought it's weapon down.  As soon as she was next to the bloated Fae, she delivered two swift straight punches to the most important places she could reach, quickly dispatching it.  

There were still two left, however, and they didn't let her forget about it.  The smaller Faerie flung it's hands towards her, the now-familiar blades of wind stinging against her face and arms as they pummeled her.  The goblin began to glow eerily, something that certainly did not look very promising.  And also made it her next target.  Gesturing from the Hind towards it, she began to close the distance again as the dagger flew over her to impale the little creep.  The blades of wind from the Faerie stung against her arms again, opening up a fair amount of fresh wounds, but she stayed on target.  As soon as she was close enough to reach it, she pulled back her arm and thrust forward with the palm of her hand.  Between the limberness with the spell and the unique ability of her ring, she could feel her attack hitting even harder than it usually would.  That made two down.

Turning to the last foe, she managed to pull her arms above her just in time to take most of the brunt of the electricity that shot down at her.  She felt beyond a little frazzled and was pretty sure she could now taste color thanks to that, but there wasn't any room to sit around and wait for herself to cool off from it.  Her muscles still felt loose and quick, and she needed to get rid of the last one before it could put off very many more attacks.  It wasn't very far away, thankfully, so it didn't take very long to get up close to it again and bring her fists into it's stomach three quick times.  While it was obviously hurting, it wasn't out yet, and Ariane's arms began to bleed even more as the wind assaulted her.  

She was definitely hurting between the last fight and this one, but she could manage it.  All it would really take was one more hard punch─and the last faerie fell.  

Inhaling deeply she turned back, wiping off her forehead with the back of her wrapped hand.  "Well.  That was... something.  At least they're gone, now."
