Hood Rats (open, Party of Three)

Colin hadn't known where to go to find some enemies. He supposed he could simply wander around until he encountered another of the creatures, but he doubted that would work well. The only reason he suspected there were others like the creature before was that the heavy atmosphere had fallen again, and the sky itself had taken a turn towards the demented.

He held the katana by the grip as he wandered the place he found himself. He didn't think wandering would do much good, but Colin could at least explore. After all, the sky had changed. What else might have? As such, he was exploring a strange neighborhood that looked no different than it really did during the day. He could feel that there was something else- or multiple somethings- that were in the area with him. That didn't mean that he could find them.

He adjusted the mask on his face. He didn't even really need it, he realized. He just felt better when he was wearing it. It made the entire thing feel like he wasn't really there, simply controlling another's actions. He liked that feeling.

[Yumina Makino]

Another journey into a familiar part of town. Despite never actually living here, Yumina typically enjoyed visiting Shibuya. She certainly cared more about this neighborhood than her current one. Even without the creepy stillness of the extra hour, this section felt a lot quieter than back home.

Of course, having all the monsters around kind of ruined the mood, but so far the ones here were easy enough to handle. As long as a boss didn't pop up out of nowhere this time. Yumina wasn't really up for dealing with one of those tonight. Maybe after she got some better equipment.

Glancing at her knife, she noticed the weapon began to show its age. The blade didn't look as sharp as it used to, her lack of knowing how to properly maintain it. At this point it might be easier to start over with a better weapon, but that required money. Money she didn't have. Apparently, some times the enemies would leave behind certain materials that could be sold to get better stuff. Next time she talked to another magic user, she'd have to find out if they knew more about how that worked.

There was someone coming up ahead, but it was wrong to assume he knew any more than she did. Some tall guy who was probably another foreigner. Most blondes were, but again its wrong to assume and all that. Just act like he is for now. The fact that she found another person usually meant that more shadow dudes would attack. They liked to pick on groups, and were harder to avoid once everyone started flinging spells around. It'd be quicker to just get it over with.

So far they were the only two around. . . and Yumina didn't feel comfortable approaching some weird older guy from behind, even if he was in on the whole Persona business. Stranger danger and all. She just followed along and didn't feel like saying anything until something or someone else appeared.

[Kyle Shibata]

Kyle was taking a little exploratory and training walk through the neighborhood. He hadn't done any work in a while, bogged down with a slight stomach irritation, no thanks to his uncle's experiments in the kitchen.

Someone needs to pass a law to make it illegal for my uncle to lift recipes off the Internet, he thought sourly. He half-asses most of them and the results are... eurgh...

He turned around a corner and caught sight of a familiar face. It was that little chick from the supermarket. He rubbed the back of his neck and approached her. "Yo," he said lazily. "Yumina, right? How's it going?"

Glancing around for the inevitable trouble that would surge their way, he spotted someone else. Uncannily familiar, but Kyle couldn't quite place them...

Kyle caught sight of the Shadows from the corner of his eye and instinctively moved to get between them and Yumina, without really thinking about it. They and that blonde jerkweed were surrounded pretty thoroughly. Kyle gripped his axe tighter.

"I'll take care of the fatass and the scale thingy," he muttered.

Aware this was going to hurt, Kyle advanced on his first foe and miraculously, dodged the scale's initial assault, letting it crash on the ground from its momentum. The fat cop was hunched over and appeared to be gathering its strength. Kyle grunted and swung his axe hard, sending it reeling backwards and almost on its back. He spun around quickly and swung his axe at the scale, catching it on the rebound and sending it flying. He immediately knew that the damn thing didn't like getting chopped and he chased after it doggedly.

"Sitri!" he snapped, summoning his Persona.

The winged leopard pounced onto the hapless scales and mauled it with his claws, destroying it in a fell swoop.

Turning quickly to deal with the cop again, Kyle was hit by the Shadow's gun, taking two blasts straight to the chest that almost knocked him on his ass. Without ceremony, Kyle shook himself down and Sitri spread his wings, roaring to summon a blast of lightning to drop down on it. It didn't seem to do much and the cop thing blasted Kyle backwards with a pretty hefty blast of ice. Kyle cursed but shook frost off himself and lunged again, slamming his axe into the creature's face and going to town with his axe and Sitri's thunder, taking a break only to dodge another pair of shots from the Shadow, until he'd defeated it.
