While Anne finished off her sandwich, she listened to Marina agree to the plans. She hadn't made so many future plans with someone on ages, and despite the chaos that was going on around them Anne couldn't be more excited. Finally nodding, she smiled. "Sounds good! I'm sure whatever you make will be fine. I'm not much of a picky eater at all either, if that helps things."
At the idea of a good, real burger Anne got a wistful look in her eyes. "Man, that would be great. I can't even remember the last time I had a real burger. If we hadn't already eaten, I'd almost vote to go find it now and get something to eat," she laughed, "Although I'm pretty sure most restaurants aren't pet friendly. I'm pretty sure I couldn't pass them off as service animals either." The mentioned pets had gotten bored of snuggling, and were playing together again in the grass around the bench. Thankfully they had their harnesses and leashes, but even without them they were well behaved enough by this point they wouldn't go entirely too far without coming right back.
It was almost a bit of a relief to hear she wasn't alone in that, but she instantly felt bad thinking like that too. Bonding over loneliness was a pretty sad thing to bond over, after all. Even still she smiled and nodded, "I can empathize with that. I think the problem is I keep my nose stuck in too many books or games to even notice if the real thing bit me. But you're right, I'm sure the right one's out there. We just gotta pay attention." Not only that, but actually start socializing with people more often. One couldn't just sit around waiting for something to magically happen, but at least Anne was starting to be active. That was a start, wasn't it?
